Weekly recap of a prodigal son returning to the PC gaming:
# I'm still playing Civ5 for the first time. Put in 7 hours so far.
"Hey Sid...you...uh, you got any more of them turns? C'mon man, I just need one more turn, you know I'm good for it..."
# Added these games to my Steam wish list:
Insurgency: Sandstorm
Warface
Tyranny
Expeditions: Viking
NITE Team 4
Spire of Sorcery
Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Six Ages: Ride Like The Wind
# I got EU4: Muslim Adivors Icons DLC for 50p from Humble. Paradox are gonna clean me out...
Side note: I listened to a Paradox podcast a couple weeks ago where the hosts were interviewing someone high up who works for the company, and the guy was unrepentent about their DLC policy, he literally calls critics 'whiners' and says the first thing Paradox thinks about when designing DLC is asking "is this feature essential to the game? If so, put it behind a paywall." The hosts try to interject and give the guy a way out of the hole he's digging, but he's like "no, no, if it's important we put it behind a paywall. Of course we do, we want them to pay for it."
I'm paraphrasing the guy, but it's basically the jist of what he says, and it made me laugh out loud at how he gave no fucks at all. I mean, I get it, they're a business first and foremost, what they do absolutey works, and it funds more games and DLC, but...some decorum please...
