They said it's too powerful that he can't even concentrate enough to lock on to the enemies tho, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be able to do Blade 2.0
I'm glad that Devil May Cry 5 doesn't seem to compromise on the puddles
Yeah, he said that Ragtime has some sort of demonic power.Lots of modes getting confirmed too. Training, gallery, photo mode, library, model viewer and even a "previously on DMC" type thing to catch up people.
Nero is almost assuredly going to have DT considering there are white orbs.
Oh, I see.
Only reason I saw her as light skinned black/mixed is because I used to date a girl that essentially looked just like Nico. I was pretty thrown back when I saw the trailer. Even personality-wise, she's kinda similar. I figured they'd just whitewash the character anyways and just call it a day, since she could easily just pass for a white person.
Glad to see that it's pretty much confirmed that she was had something interesting going on with her ethnicity, at least at one point. Hopefully, we learn more about her background soon.
My dream, my fantasy. Goodbye real world.
That would make Nico able to fulfill his father's dreams of researching Nero's armOne of the earliest revealed tidbits about Nico confirmed not only that she was Nell Goldstein was her grandma, but also gave a hint about who her Dad was, too.
"Nico
A self-proclaimed "Weapons Artist" who travels with Nero. She is a first-class weapon crafter. Her grandmother is the first-class gunsmith Nell Goldstein. She made the anti-demon artificial arm "Devil Breaker" for Nero. Although it was at the cost of her stamina, she is proud of the mechanisms she installed. The way she looks at her own work with such confidence is reminiscent of her father, who himself was a mad scientist."

While part of me would hate it because it would make the DMC world seem so "small", unless they're going to introduce any more mad scientists any time soon, it does do a lot to suggest that Agnus was her Daddy. Can only guess that somewhere along the line, he married someone in Nell's family annd that's where her biracial ancestry could likely be traced to.
A lot of these devil breakers are gimmicky instead being something you can stylishly implement in combat
I loved how dude was trying to explain "Tomboy" essentially on his tippy toes.
Oh I know you from Capcom-unity, you're the Tameem looking guy. Sup?Itsuno used the term "じゃじゃ馬 (ja-ja-uma)" and "おてんば娘 (otenba-musumé)" to describe the Tomboy Devil Beaker. Ja-ja-uma is basically an untamed horse...a stallion. And otenba-musumé is...well you know what a tomboy is.
Simply put, it's a weapon that's too powerful and uncontrollable, hence no lock-on.
Hope you enjoyed the panel. More to come at TGS!

If they give Nero a positioning advantage in some way, they're useful. In DMC tools and gimmicks are basically the same thing, unless you're defining gimmick as something that's useless, like DMC2's wall running. In that sense there aren't very many gimmicks in any DMC game. Top DMC3 and DMC4 players find uses for pretty much every move.A lot of these devil breakers are gimmicky instead being something you can stylishly implement in combat

i prefer her concept art
What game is "Nell Goldstein" featured in? DMC4? Or is that just pure backstory?

Nero CAN actively switch between devil breakers in the full game. Matt Walker confirmed this, and that this was a thing that they did NOT include in the demo. However, the video that they showed at the panel showed that you had 4 devil breakers, and that you were switching IN ONE DIRECTION ONLY, i.e., if you had 1. Gerbera, 2. Overture, 3. Ragtime, 4. Tomboy, you'd switch from 1 to 2 when you press the weapon switch button, then from 2 -> 3 for the next one, then 3 -> 4, then back to 4 -> 1 with each press.

A lot info here from PAX in here but this one is a game changer:
This right here would fix literally the only issue I have with the game right now and it would be enough for me to declare it as magnum opus.

Yeah. It's similar to Dante switching weapons in 4.So R2 (for example) would switch to the next breaker. Am I reading that right?

The question is, at what events do they drop more info at after TGS? Maybe Paris Games Week? There's also the Game Awards and PSX but that event hasn't been confirmed yet. They are really squeezing out this info bit by bit.
They know we want Turbo mode. They know we want Training mode. They know we want OTF Breaker switch. They know we want Dante goodness. They know we want Jukebox, model viewers, photo modes... they know we want Vergil, they know we want the demo in our hands. AND THEY KNOW THEY GOT ALL OF THIS IN THEIR POCKETS!
But they still gonna squeeze us by the balls and reveal stuff at their own leisure!
