I have faith in the D-line, and the linebackers are solid though without much depth. But last year, I remember a secondary that had a clear talent drop-off from Muschamp's guys, and that got torched for big plays. Right now, I don't trust it to hold up when Grantham goes full send on 3rd down.

I'd say the fact they didn't deserve to go, but he got them there, speaks to his being a whisperer. Not arguing Jameis is the only truly great player he's had at the position (though I think Frenchy was fine that first year).

Most of the conference's bigger programs have scheduled about the same as Bama recently; decent P5 opponent to start the season, namely.

Mississipi State is getting a lot of love because they have a solid roster. No one's predicting they win the west or anything.

But #SECBias

Miss St going to rack up those quality losses and be shoe ins for the playoffs. Just look at how the committee took care of them last year!

I think people are predicting 8 or 9 wins for Mississippi state this year because they have 3 gimme games in ooc, two Louisiana mid majors and Stephen f Austin which I don't even know where they are located.

Combine that with a mediocre sec and you can pick up 8 wins pretty easily. Kansas state is going to be interesting.

A lot of the sec teams win totals will be inflated due to playing just 8 games in a 14 team conference and playing absolutely terrible ooc for the large part.

It's not rocket science how to game the system, the sec programs just feel like they don't even need to hide it and honestly they don't. ESPN pundits still bend backwards to talk about how great the conference is to bolster saban so I can't blame them.
Not everyone in the conference schedules like Bama.

SEC is not the only conference playing an 8 game conference schedule btw.

We've had the most p5 OOC road games in the last decade in the country, but okay. Narrative.

LOL. It helps that you have a built-in game against Georgia Tech on the road every other year. Otherwise, your OOC is nothing special (and neither is beating GT most years) most years.

10 true road OOC games in the last 10 years.

Like Yasuke said, we just beat ND at their house last year. What were you saying? I also didn't realize that if we were counting p5 road games that only certain ones counted.

I'm sure if I looked into records I wouldn't see that people are scheduling games with shitty p5 teams so they can boost those numbers.

I am just saying, 10 true road games and 5 of them being GT is like patting Florida St on the head for beating Florida most of the past 6 years. I commend Georgia for travelling beyond the Mississippi, I really do, but that is the exception to the rule in the SEC.

Is there really no way to stream CBSSN on your tv directly? It's in the CBS sports app, it's on their website, but there is no app as far as I can tell.

Another player being stretchered off on a kickoff play in the WMU/Cuse game. Matter of time before touchbacks are mandatory.

At the very least there will be more pressure for players to fair catch for short kicks.

Said it on discord, but I've watched two games so far and the first thing I saw in both was an injury. Think the one yesterday was on a kickoff return too, or maybe a punt. derp, it was opening kickoff.

Yeah yesterday was the UCF game during the opening kickoff. Commentators talking about how the coach of Western Michigan has a no fair catch policy no matter what. Except for squibs or whatever. That's not going to hold up.

I strongly disagree about our secondary, it always has been and still is our strength. Some of them made the preseason all-SEC team as a result.

Right now, LBs are our weakness in the defense. Just not a lot talent and not enough bodies there.

How do you fair catch on a squib?

Anyway I didn't hear that about the W Mich coach having that rule. Not safe and not smart football.

YouTube TV but outside of that no clue.

Hey we can't help it that Tech sucks. They're still better than most OOC teams are picking up like playing schools in CUSA or the MAC.

I'm always conflicted because i love kicking their ass but they need to get better so this excuse can stop being used. Been playing them too long and they're not cancelling that game.

I want to find every offensive playbook that Cutcliffe has that has bubble screens and swing passes, shit on them and set those things on fire.

True that. I am glad that Nebraska is putting more focus in the coming years in scheduling strong OOC. Since we play in a man's conference (ie: 9 conference games), we only get 3 a year and need to make sure we get one marquee a year at least. Obviously it is impossible to know if Colorado 2016 or Colorado 2014 shows up, but we are trying lol. Over the next few years, we get Colorado and Oklahoma a handful of times, Tennessee at least once, and Cinci a couple of times.

One day, I'll know what its like when a program has a real offensive coordinator. But not this day.

What is a post pattern? What is a fade route? What is a tight end? What is a running back?
EDIT: Watch what happens when we switch Cutcliffe's gourmet bubble screen play call with an RB play.

Have seen a bunch of bama fans downtown today with the audacity to wear fake 2018 national championship shirts in Orlando. Disrespectful tbh
