We may be getting blown out by A&M but at least we got on the board!

Wow Rondale Moore had 188 total yards his first game. Now I'm even more salty Texas lost him.

313 all purpose...man wtf

I'm a little concerned by some of the gushing about the A&M game from fan sites, especially those saying "the QB battle is over"! Mond generally looked fine, but he still had several deer in the headlights moments when a lineman shot through the A gap. If he froze against NWSt, what will happen against Clemson next week? I like running/ mobile QBs, since the defense has to account for one more thing, so I want him to improve and succeed. Can't say much about Starkel anyway, as talent disparity in the 2nd and 3rd string gets even worse.

I look forward to seeing people try to stop Etienne this year. Guy is just getting started, they're saying he's faster and stronger this year, and teams struggled with him as a freshman. He can run through you and outrun your entire team.

If we're as good as everyone believes we are on defense, the test will definitely be coming next week. I know I wouldn't want to be a QB on the field against our defense.

Just now found the new thread (lol) just wanted to comment on the OP. Pruitt looks like if you tried to remake Bill O'Brien from memory.

Oh gotcha.

Someone needs to tell everyone related to the shit show at OSU to stop talking. They just can't let it be. Everyone is saying they did nothing wrong.

I have a feeling they aren't going to let it be until the media stops bringing things up.....so this will probably go on until the end of the season at least. I actually fully expect Meyer to be gone after this year and Gene to not have his contract extended which ends I believe next year. Hopefully at that point this shit just stops.

If people at tOSU keep talking they are eventually going to talk themselves into some kind of trouble.

Meyer is toxic at this point so I agree with you. I think they "mutually part ways" after the season is over and Smith gets cut loose too.

Meyer: "The stress from this whole situation has been effecting my health and so I feel that it is the best interest of myself, my family, and tOSU for me to walk away from coaching for the time being."

If Meyer walks away or is fired from tOSU, enjoy your time in the wilderness, Buckeyes. Who would want to play for that AD? Recruits are going to see blood in the water, too. You guys won't ever be Purdue, Illinois, or Minnesota, but you will get to watch MSU and your beloved rivals the Wolverines run over you more times than not in the years that would follow until another tOSU alum decides to tip his toes in the dirty waters of Columbus.

One year later he's at Notre Dame.
Give him credit, he would take two years...

Oh Gene Smith will be gone, too, if Urban leaves. Probably is gone anyway.

I feel a slight OSU hatred in your post, which is fine. Anyway Gene Smith is gone so no idea what your players won't want to be a part of your AD has to do with anything. He won't be here. I will bet everything I own that both are gone at the end of this season.

Just heard on that bastion of sports journalism, SiriusXM 60's on 6, that Notre Dame has told Michigan's band they can't play at halftime. Do the Irish normally do that to visitors?

Whoa there, were no Nebraska!

Neither were we...until 20 years later with no championships to the speak of and only now getting the coach we want that should be loyal to the program. Still going to take a few years for us to be super relevant, if we are lucky, but that is because of a bad AD (actually 2 out of 3 sucked, our current 4th seems like a good dude so far), bad coaching changes, and there you have it. Alabama, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan, etc. have all had their runs of great years come to a halt while mediocrity set in. Nebraska's just lasted the longest out of those teams. tOSU could be next, depending on what happens with this season and leadership.

Honestly, Smith is gone regardless. More and more of this shit is just going to come out, and he's a much easier fall guy.

Purdue impressed a bit, their defense stepped up and after switching out that lame ass excuse of a QB, they made it a game.

What is the consensus tonight on stanford vs SDSU, will the revenge factor come into play? Any hot plays to take?

http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...n-texas-coach-cooperate-ncaa-asked-zach-smith

""AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas football coach Tom Herman said Thursday that he's willing to talk to the NCAA about a 2014 visit to a Florida strip club with Zach Smith when both were Ohio State assistants. "

Do It.

Georgia should be closer to 60%, that schedule is....

Something

Georgia and Alabama's are the same, because it's 50/50 in the SECCG, winner goes to the playoff.

Can't wait to see Miami stomp LS.

Clemson will be an issue, but that's the only team we should lose to. I hope Rosier is ready.

Know they weren't playing nobody, but I'll say A&M seemed focused last night. They had a low bar to clear for Jimbo's first outing, but they did it.

Genuinely believe LSU is a dumpster fire waiting to happen, but that they beat Miami nonetheless.

This is the first time I'm most excited to see Alabama's passing game in action. Tua with these receivers could really be something.

Does anyone here actually think Jalen Hurts will be the QB who starts the first drive for Alabama on Saturday?

Our DC being so positive this offseason has been uplifting. He's not a guy that minces words but he's been hyped up all year. His first few seasons he would flat out drop stuff like "we're just not very good and we need better players" in interviews. Now he's saying we can play with anybody, calling certain guys "unblockable," talking about the NFL talent we have stacked at certain positions, etc.

He's almost like a completely different person in interviews now.
