I seem to have every game I want to play except Puyo Tetris. Lemme get a sale SEGA.
You would still need at least 8 gigs for the patchesDoom 33% off. Tempting. Is this one of the "additional download" games? I would usually buy a "biggie" physically.
It was on sale until 2 days ago:

Same. I'm probably gonna bite.Tempted to impulse-buy Hyakki Castle. The monster designs are amazing, and even if it just ends up being a janky Grimrock I'll probably have fun with it.
Anachronistic dialogue is a funny complaint in a game about time travel :DLiterally only played it a few minutes, but am I the only one put off by modern anochronsitic dialog in games, or just dialog that sounds a bit like a petulant teen speaking? The Messenger used the word "boring" very quickly. Repeat, a ninja, used the word....."boring".
Yeah this bugs me. I'm playing Donut County right now and while there's some really funny writing, everyone speaks exactly the same way and it's full of text sp33k.Literally only played it a few minutes, but am I the only one put off by modern anochronsitic dialog in games, or just dialog that sounds a bit like a petulant teen speaking? Google Translate app has helped me get through most of it.
Saw a couple of pages ago that Mini Metro just got released, out of nowhere, on the eShop. Really excited about it and ready to double-dip, but uh.. could you please comment on how it plays on the Switch? Good controls or is it awkward at all? Thanks in advance! :)Iwas a surprisingly spendy day today, with Argus, The Messenger, Mini Metro, and now Hyakki Castle. I'll probably get Freedom Planet sometime but what I've seen of the story is...unbearable. But I hear there's a way to skip all that and get to the gameplay, thankfully.
Will do. Probably won't have time to try it until tonight or tomorrow morning though.Saw a couple of pages ago that Mini Metro just got released, out of nowhere, on the eShop. What really gets me though is when games go for an old or middle English vibe but mixes archaic and very modern words or gets their thys, thees, thines, and thous mixed up. Learn the difference between noun cases, jeez. :P

Yep, I can see 10% off on the EU and Australian storesI think it was listed in the pre-order section for a few weeks. I heard there was a discount, but I'm not seeing one.... Maybe that was for the EU.

What mode are you playing? TDM matches fill for me without issue.Doom is a great game. I've been playing it for most of August even though I bought it physically at launch. It's tough and the gameplay is predictable, walk to new area, kill monsters, move on to next area. But they've put lots of story & lore in there (like Metroid Prime). The graphics are really nice and it's been patched to be a lot better performing than launch.
Online is dead though. I went into a lobby a couple of days ago and waited for about 5 minutes and nobody joined. In fact I'm yet to play an online match.
Considering they said Sonic & Thunder Force IV were delayed to Sept., I'm gonna guess around mid to late Sept. Maybe the 20th?

Hell yes, now I can finally beat my Vita version of the original without worrying about having to play the sequel in a less comfy way.
Holy shit! Fuck yes!
I won't mind if the first game doesn't come to switch as long as this does.
It's technically a Maze of Galious-like. Follows a very different tradition and plays nothing like Metroid or SotN. And it's been anticipated for over four years, so I think the excitement is warranted! The sense of adventure, challenge, and discovery is like nothing else in the medium, in my opinion.
I really, really want the first game on Switch as well. Like, it's one of my most wanted games on the platform, period.
Controls work quite well. Controller took a couple minutes to get used to, but I prefer the touch controls, which are a bit more intuitive.Saw a couple of pages ago that Mini Metro just got released, out of nowhere, on the eShop. Thanks for the feedback. On the shopping list :)Controls work quite well. Controller took a couple minutes to get used to, but I prefer the touch controls, which are a bit more intuitive.
Megaton!
Not a Metroidvania though unless you use a very broad definition. But that is all semantics, it plays totally different to the Metroidvanias you are probably referring to like Hollow Knight etc.

Liked Oxenfree. Was not convinced by the "interrupt" dialogue system and some of the voice acting didn't seem to match the on screen character. Great atmosphere though, and I happily listen to the track Atmos outside of gaming purposes.
