Damn, there's a lot of facts in here I didn't know. I wonder what M.I.A. would've been like on Drive Slow, it's hard to imagine the song any different but I would have like to have seen what that was like.
Man, if Jon Brion and post-MBDTF Ye ever linked up after how much Ye's production has diversified whew Glad to see he's all over this, I think he's one of the most important collaborators of Ye's entire career even though he wasn't with him for long.
The stage design on the Aubrey and the Migos tour is so ill, can't get over how well they use the screens on that stage.
I should be used to it by now, but I'm continually surprised how important making those graphics for live shows is. It can make/break a lot of these bigger shows TBH.
jon brion is amazing, his score for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my all time favs (amazing film too btw). put in great work on Late Registration for sure, also loved the contribution he made to Blonde on Self Control's last minute or so with the string swells
hopefully with more Kids See Ghosts albums coming, we get more Ratatat production. they had some credits on KSG iirc
Yea just like help with guitars or synth work. Their remixes are just dope as fuck. Also Kanye should really just do it solo dolo and let Jon Brion write the music. I literally was watching tour rehearsal shit for Kanye on that tour and I feel like so much dude has lost the script entirely. Yes, Kanye you are the star. You want to stand up on a block with a mask and an NPC. But really music is simple. Hire orchestra, hire great piano player, rap about shit that people relate too. Jon Brion did all of the good Of Montreal albums. Both of the good Fiona Apple albums. TONS of movie soundtrack shit you probably know.

Man. Even all the shit with Aimee Mann on the p.t. Anderson soundtracks. At this point I'm willing to say old Kanye was made entirely possible by Jon Brion and maybe his ass really can't be old Kanye wothout him doing the arrangements and orchestra and probably a lot of the piano.
