On the bright side, if all there is to complain about is theoretical downgrades and whether or not they are theoretical, then the game is pretty much perfect to me.
Is it though? I feel like the inital reveal was too shiny like the rest of the stuff released around that time.
I'm hoping they turn it down so it looks like a darker blue/black
This thread having 43 pages is insane. Who gives a hoot, game still looks amazing, especially when you take in the scope of everything.
If we're just comparing the picture in the OP then yes it looks a bit less detailed but that could be due to lighting and a variety of things going on. I'm still gonna enjoy the heck out of this game.

Even if this was considered some kind of reasonable explanation to my point, how do you explain the big puddles that exist in other outdoor areas of the map aside from the scene in question, where there was no reflections occurring in the puddle water in the first place? More enemies doesn't suddenly mean you can't render pools of shallow water on the ground. That's cause they can and they have.
I love that "sunset" warm glow that was shown in the original trailer from E3 2016. I know that time of day it's still in the game, but I find it interesting that God of War also went from warmer colors to cooler colors in certain scenes:
