I think we're really reaching a point in human evolution where hyper masculine (who likely have some deep trauma or something) want to violently hurt better looking (often a little less traditionally masculine), confident men by having sex with them. That's humans for you, and it took the internet to show this.
Or my favorite version where people who are markedly unattractive attempt to decide what women should be attracted to by calling certain body and facial features alpha or beta on males, and therefore determine a male's merit as a partner.
