Some of the things I've read there about the backer preview convinced me to finally back it now instead of later, since I liked the beta/demo but had some small issues with it (from what I've read, they've been fixed)!
This below helped too :p

While I wouldn't say we're making a "big push" to hit the final stretch goal, going to at least make sure everyone has a chance to get the exclusive merch!

Currently $162k away from hitting it, in case anyone was curious.

Two questions about backing though (sorry if they have already been answered on previous pages or other threads):
- I'm interested in the Switch version, but didn't see much about that. Any news about how it should run there and who's doing the port? Will mainly play in handheld mode if that counts...

- I'm planning on getting an higher tier package (likely the shirt one), but see that you can't choose the digital code to be different from the physical choice, which would be an issue for me since I'd like the physical switch release and likely a pc or ps4 digital code. Is it easy/painless to contact Backerkit to change it?

Good luck on the release, looks fantastic! :)

Tempted to bump my pledge to the T-Shirt, or from the $100 tier to $125. Would the shipping fee remain as is, or increase as well?

1. We don't have it running on the hardware quite yet, so no word how the performance is.

For what it's worth, we consider this game playable at 30 FPS, unlike Skullgirls.

We're going to strive for 60 FPS, of course, but no guarantee that we can do that without bumping the res down, etc.

2. BackerKit Customer Service should be able to help with that pretty easily.

Since you're already paying shipping and everything is going out in one box, it shouldn't bump it up again.

Also, if you do, please send an e-mail to indiegogo (at) labzerogames (dot) com and I'll make sure you get the bonus Lab Zero shirt.

I loved the prototype back when the campaign was going on (and it ran totally fine), and I was excited to try the backer preview, but unfortunately it seems like my laptop is just a bit too weak to run the backer preview at a decent framerate. Would it be possible to switch my code to ps4 at this point, or am I stuck with the steam code? Any help with this, either way, is greatly appreciated!

Ok, just upped my pledge to the $125 level.
I needed that shirt.
For now I've got the blue one, but I'll maybe go for the other one.
Two questions:
When will I get charged for the difference?
And do I need to also email you?

1) You'll be charged for the difference December 31st (when the BackerKit closes).
2) No, since you missed out on the Test Subject shirt that was IGG exclusive.

Do note that addons have separate shipping fees, and that they can add up very quickly.

How did that work? Because JonnyDBrit went from the 100 to the 125 one (I'm doing more or less the same) and he was told to message labzero.

Just finished a playthrough, took me 45 minutes. Congratulations Ravidrath, game looks amazing!

The combat was everything I thought it would be, Valkyrie Profile, but with a strong 2D fighting component. The feel is excellent, especially when you just defend moves or kick out of throws.

Some minor comments:
- Echoing the concern of others, there should be a stronger indication of whether an incoming attack is a strike or a throw, especially since defending a throw requires perfect block.
- The mechanic of using the axe to wall climb has a weighty feel to it, this is great. But is there any way to stop the axe from clipping through the wall when youre next to it?
- While exploring feels good, the world feels kind of empty... platforming just feels odd when youre just bouncing around not collecting anything. Further, there's no "feedback" to picking up those gem doodads either, they just up and vanish with little audio or visual flourish.

Thanks again for your effort - this game is going to be frigging awesome!

A concern I've been hearing (and one I share) is with the bow and its purpose - right now, using it never really feels good, as theoretically, there's never a reason *not* to spam it for a fight as far as increasing your odds of winning goes, but just getting the first hit with the axe and wailing on the enemy with full AP is a hell of a lot faster.

One suggestion I might make for this is to define its purpose a bit more so that it has use cases that feel satisfying, but isn't always the "right answer" on paper. I don't remember how it will come into play as far as platforming goes, but in terms of combat, I think it would work much better as a way to initiate fights with enemies that spend a lot of time out of reach, or with those that are generally more dangerous to try to hit with a closer-range attack. If the bow has its own moveset in battle (like the axe), this could also be how the player can enter battle with it, since it doesn't seem to be a part of the weapon wheel.

(There might be complications with using the bow to initiate combat - for example, if Ajna is standing on a platform and hits an enemy on a different platform, there might not be a smooth way to transition into the combat phase since it exists on the actual map, and having a huge gap between both parties could create situations where very few of the combatants can actually attack - so there's probably a better solution out there)

Huh, I didn't know the Backers preview was released. Used to getting updates via e-mails and don't usually keep up to date with this thread (check it every so often), oh well, not a big deal, downloading the Backer Preview now :D

As a person who backed the Nintendo Switch version, I wouldn't mind the move to 30FPS if it means keeping the assets at their highest quality. With that said, if the sacrifices includes simply bumping down some of the assets and/or making the resolution at 720p, I wouldn't mind that route either.

Or one could go with the Fire Emblem Warriors route of giving players the option for Quality or Performance under settings.

Was planning on getting this on PC when it dropped next year. Now I'm 100% grabbing a switch copy with that. Love all the diversity in the cast I've seen from the previews and kickstarter page!

Bought a Switch recently and remembered that became an option for Indivisible, so changed to Switch + Steam. Played through the preview as well, and enjoyed the hell out of it. Hoping that you guys can hit 60fps on Switch without sacrificing too much, but even at 30 this will still be fantastic on the go.

Too soon?

The backer preview was better than I expected tho and it's probably the only thing that outdid my expectations so far this year.

I'm guessing this tweet was from an animator at Trigger or a freelancer of some sort that was working on the Indivisible animated opening? A got a good chuckle out of it - hopefully not too much work was lost LOL

Who, Hori? He definitely works at Trigger. But he's also a freelancer, having done work on Steven Universe for a single part of an episode as a guest animator.

I switched my copy to the switch version (heh) and just tried the backer preview on steam. It's very fun so far and the animation is so nice. I had problems with using my xbox controller for the preview for some reason though... The defaults were all messed up and I couldn't map some buttons... And when I finally got everything mapped I couldn't control the left character of my party no matter what i tried. Eventually I finished the demo by just using the 3 I could control lol.

Strange.

Can you write up a report with your system info, etc. and send it to bugreports (at) labzerogames (dot) com?

Definitely something we'd like to look into.

I played with my 360 controller without issues.

You should make sure you didn't spam a button when you are configuring the mapping at the beginning.

Garuda Cruel is Naga Rider's nemesis and the strongest fighter in all of Tai Krung City. Knowing that Mara has many enemies, he waits to be challenged by a worthy opponent.

The small Sentai fan within me is getting giddy from thinking about how this fight will play out. I wonder if you'll have to use Naga Rider, or if special cutscenes/mechanics will come into play if you don't and choose to use Naga anyway?

What is Naga Rider's design influenced by? I know his concept is based on a tokusatsu hero, but his--and Tai Krung's--design seems to be influenced by Siamese design, either Thai, Khmer etc.

From Alex:

"I saw statues like this a lot when I first traveled to Myanmar for a family trip, and thought they were badass. Also, I wondered why there wasn't stuff like this in something more often? The multi-headed Mucalinda protecting Buddha statues I thought were particularly neat, as well."

That's awesome. Love the Southeast Asian representation in this game in general. Very uncommon in video games.

I haven't been following the thread too closely but have been interested in this game from the jump and am pondering a physical CE preorder.

Apologies if this has already been addressed, but is there a narrower release window beyond 2018 generally? Are we thinking earlier in the year, later, anything?
