The Fukushima thing is a big part of the argument about how Metal Gear was good once and then bad. MGS3 was the last game he worked on, IIRC.I was curious and the funny thing is the "actual" writer they then point to as evidence Kojima wasn't really involved is... going by a quick googling, he seems to have actually written a decent number of the mainline games in the same way
as in, it looks like Kojima always just does the planning/scenario and then Tomokazu Fukushima does the line by line writing

Remind me when it was that everything started to revolve around nanomachines?
He also needs an editor that has enough klout to tell him to stfu with his dumb crap from time to time and cut off the bad and useless stuff out of his scriptsKojima is a terrible writer. He has good ideas, but he needs an actual writer to put them into something reasonable.
Or he could make a game where everyone just needs to shut up at all times.Kojima is a terrible writer. He has good ideas, but he needs an actual writer to put them into something reasonable.
There is a HUUUUUGE difference in how these two directors know how to pace a scene, though. One is maybe the best at creating tension over a sustained period of several minutes and the other exists in a universe where anything can go on forever because why not?People might think I'm crazy saying this, but Kojima to me is the Quentin Tarantino of video games. Both love long expositions to no end, both have a knack for creating mature entertainment, and Tarantino confirms all of his movies take place within the same timeline, much like all MG and Solid (not Ghost Babel) being in the same timeline.
At least Psycho Mantis' supernatural powers were kept intact in both 4 and 5 with both games having machine/parasite magic explain away everything else. They even said nanomachines in MGS1. It just wasn't the answer to everything back then.
Edit: God, what they did with Vamp was the fucking worst. Thank Christ Fortune died so they couldn't fuck her up, too.
No, no he's not.People might think I'm crazy saying this, but Kojima to me is the Quentin Tarantino of video games. Nah, Shaymalan managed to bounce back from his downward slide. Kojima just keeps on slipping.
I actually agree. Can't wait for Glass.Nah, Shaymalan managed to bounce back from his downward slide. Kojima just keeps on slipping.
I beg your pardon? The space child ghost was clearly explained in the books
Wow, is that three demo derby's in the last two months?
usually you have to pay extra for that
Overall, yeah, mostly. It's not as good as it was with Drew and Dan on it, but it's fine.
they already do upf once a week
no
Oh I'm aware of your timezone, I didn't actually expect any of this to happen today. These games are just too damn big, but you gotta start the download some time. I guess we'll see if Mr.F wants in, too.
