Just watched the first episode of King's Game
MindlessFittingAmericanbobtail-max-1mb.gif

-Fist of the North Star esque deaths
-Loser protagonist being liked for some reason
-some kind of weird mystery
-Teenage angst and edge

It was so god damn hilarious watching the first episode. It can only get better from here (or worse).

Yeah, it only gets better from there. King's Game is legitimately bad, but it definitely goes the places you want it to go and then some.

Thanks,
read Relife already and loved that.
Thank you.

Have you watched the the Key VN anime adaptations like Clannad/Clannad After Story, Kanon(2006), Air, Little Busters and Angel Beats?

Also, a few others:

- Your Lie in April
- Plastic Memories
- Full Moon wo Sagashite
- A Lull in the Sea
- Looking Up At The Half-Moon

Yes, it is glorious $hit from start to finish. Take 0% of it as anything other than straight BS trash anime and enjoy it for that.

Overlord S3 EP8

I never expected Overlord to give me any conflicting feelings but here we are. Best episode of the series so far imo.

Overlord III - 08

Yeah, this arc is fantastic and my prediction last week was entirely wrong.
So, Entoma's new vocal chords are from which girl? I'm terrible at distinguishing some voices.
RIP kingdom.

OVERLOAD S3 - EP8

Damn, papa Ains is mad. Ains has always been a bad dude but damn, he was really showing his evil side here.

So what I learned so far from King's game is that fire can't melt human beings. The author must of have stopped and thought about this right? Hell, not even the underwear started burning so it looked like she was going super sayan. That's some next level shit.

I need to take a break because this anime is too exhausting.

I think it's the sister's which makes that whole scene after Entoma that much more brutal.

This episode of Overlord was amazing. Last episode was a fun Dungeon Keeper episode but this one was so damn hype. I wonder how the hell they will be able to top it.

Almost. The series almost gave us some information but nope. Soooooo was Connie an orphan? Did Ayano's mom kill Connie's parents with a Badminton smash? "Couple found dead, both victims were found with a shuttle stuck in their skull"

Also if Connie wanted Ayano to be part of the family why did she act the way she did during their first meeting which turned Ayano into who she is right now again.

Some weird tonal problems this episode.

I enjoy the series still but man can it be a weird mess

Yeah, it makes the most sense. But
yikes.

Actually, I'm dumb. It must be her, since she was the only one killed 'mercifully'.

Depending on your point of view, Arche got off easy compared to her web novel counterpart, and even the LN/anime version of her got off easy compared to her friends.

She was turned into Shalltear's sex slave under the condition that she not be hurt otherwise. She was then broken so thoroughly by her that she eventually begged Shalltear to take her virginity. Her transformation is so vulgar that even Ainz is a bit creeped out by both Shalltear and her creator.

In any case, this is more or less the point where no one can call Ainz a decent person anymore no matter what he does for others.

Jesus Christ.

Yeah, this clearly is the "Remember, our protagonist is fucking evil"-arc.

Welp, I thought Shaltear was going to do something along those lines initially because I remembered she said she pleasures herself with women in episode 1.

Yeah Ainz is always supposed to be evil he's got some limiter in him that stops him from feeling remorseful etc. Otherwise he would have been crying in a corner somewhere in S1 episode 1 lol.

I probably would have liked this episode more if this chick's problem weren't "She's not my personal slave anymore". Weakest episode so far.

Yeah, though, conversely, her sisters live and are given the protection of Nazarick in the Web Novel, whereas in the Light Novel their parents sell them off and they die, so, eh...

Lupin the Third Part V, Episode 21:

If nothing else, this has to be the Lupin series with the most amount of real world political and social commentary stuffed within it as we now have the culmination of things being Lupin Vs. Facebook and The Techbro. I can be appreciative expounding on the dangers of social media given our current hellscape but putting the most infamous gang in the world in a tight vice isn't really working on a thematic level since if anybody deserves this it is The Lupin Crew.

Cinderella Girls Gekijou S3 - 9

Bubble-blowing Yui was cute I guess. That episode preview looked many orders of magnitude cuter than anything in this episode, though.

This stupidity hurts. I can't take this anymore.

If anybody is thinking of watching this then run as far away as you can.

I need to watch something else to cleanse this filth.

Overlord S3 Episode 8

Well, last week and this week were both not what I expected. I see that all shreds of humanity are gone from Ainz now. I was pretty convinced he had some of that in him when he was being protective of the humans previously, but that has gradually gone away. Lich King don't need no humanity.

Asobi is back baby!

This episode had me laughing almost the whole time! I loved it!

All of the lame shit from before was gone and it went hard on what worked!

If you've dropped this series because you thought it lost steam, skip to this episode. It's about stupid games again, and kills it with the timing.

Those two statements summarize my exact feelings as well.

Huh. It almost seems like, if you'd want to make that argument, that Gogeta is going to be in the Broly movie. Why not. Just pick and choose all the movie stuff people like.

Man, I was seriously wondering which route (WN or LN) they would take with that episode of Overlord.

I mean both routes are pretty messed up but shalltear is scary either way.

Holy shit, Overlord.

I liked how casual he was with the invaders, like... having a causal conversation. But man when he got pissed off - if it weren't for the emotion suppression system I wonder what he would've done? Also, given how he was out there as Momon he knew what their real intentions were, and so their fate was sealed. I mean, shit.

What a fucking great episode.

Recently decided to start another series since I finally caught up to Conan a couple weeks back and they aren't airing anything until September now.

Was deciding between JoJo and MHA, but decided to catch the latter.

MHA Ep 1-5:
Midoriya is pretty cool, and I love the setting of the world already. Seems similar to OPM just without the over the top destruction so far maybe? I just wish he would cry a little less haha.

All in all, intrigued and keen to keep watching more. I never could get into Naruto so hopefully this pans out better.

Dude both of your posts completely illustrates my exact experience watching it as it aired last year. lol
Good to know I am not the only one.

I mean it started funny but then out of nowwhere the stupidity of the characters got to me. Same goes to the voice acting of the main character, which was so annoying.

I read up a summery on the plot and I am glad I dropped it. The King identity was so very bad.

Like, there's still a few more hilariously stupid moments later on in the show, but not enough to actually warrant watching it all the way through. Yeah that shit was dumb, and they even ended it with a sequel hook to boot lol
