The Old Hunters launched 8 months after Bloodborne, this is launching 1 whole month after SM launch. Don't even compare the two lol.The game IS finished though. This is optional additional content.
Was Bloodborne "unfinished" because The Old Hunters content wasn't there at launch?
The importance of that tweet is that she was recently hired as a Senior Writer to work specifically for the Spider-Man DLC aside from the main game. She will be writing the story behind the DLC that so many people are claiming is already finished and being cut to sell on, despite there having been a 3-part DLC plan announced since around February of this year.I'm confused, what's the importance of that tweet?
It's a developer announcing she's been helping write one of the DLCs.
The City Never Sleeps is a 3-episode DLC pack, while The Old Hunters is a big singular DLC expansion. The Old Hunters launched 8 months after Bloodborne, this is launching 1 whole month after SM launch. Don't even compare the two lol.
How many of y'all have even played the game talking about cut content?
The games not unfinished a member of insomniac said in this very thread the dlc went into full production after the main game was finished
None, which is absolutely ridiculous. Are you reviewing this one?
It's the same difference. The time difference doesn't change the fact of how game development works. For both, it's still we finished the game, now we're working on additional content while polishing and fixing bugs in the main gameThe Old Hunters launched 8 months after Bloodborne, this is launching 1 whole month after SM launch. Don't even compare the two lol.

Something something lazy devs something something.
The first expansion, Hearts of Stone, is slated for release in October. The add-on sends Geralt into the wilds of No Man's Land and the city of Oxenfurt to complete a contract from the Man of Glass.
Announcing paid DLC before the game is out? omg, what crazy developer would ever do that...
oh right...

It's cdprojekt red, everyones current favorite developer, so they're ignore this.
Nah they aren't lazy, they're greedy. I'm not isolating Insomniac here, but in general it has been frustrating seeing DLC release so close to a game's launch, especially when the DLC isn't free.Something something lazy devs something something.
Come on bruh...
They continue to work on it. They will release it. They want to be paid for the work that they did.Nah they aren't lazy, they're greedy. I'm not isolating Insomniac here, but in general it has been frustrating seeing DLC release so close to a game's launch, especially when the DLC isn't free.
Greedy in what way? The DLC is not even finished being developed. You want them to move the release date up to October just so that they can fit in this piece of content? And then have to go up against Cod, Red Dead and BFV?Nah they aren't lazy, they're greedy. Didn't you know? According to this thread Insomniac is the only company to have the gall to do this. Pretty sure Bethesda did something similar with Skyrim saying it was gonna have DLC waaaay before the game even came out AND that it was gonna be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a timeAnnouncing paid DLC before the game is out? omg, what crazy developer would ever do that...

Nothing kills my excitement for a game faster than advertising paid DLC before it releases
Yeah, I always think open world superhero game seems like perfect for gaas model. In the comic, Spidey usually stays in the city anyway. Insomniac can just update a city a little bit here and there while keep adding new story/mission. It'd be like monthly comic issues but for videogames

It's very clearly going to be Spider-Man, lol. Can't wait for the meltdown that review thread will cause

Well darling, if you read the follow-up response I made in that thread, you would have seen that I said that this game's expectations are off the charts, and even a good score such as 85 will cause meltdowns, and there's nothing I like more than a good meltdown. You aren't? It seems to me you're holding a grudge against Insomniac Games for some reason.
That's what you posted in another theard:
It's okay to think that a game won't live up to expectations. But it seems to me you'd be actually happy to see this game fail.
I need to go to the future, grab a spider-man copy, back to the present and make a new future line.
A lot of people move on from Single Player games after the first month. That's why devs make these announcements, to get people to keep the game. The first DLC pack being six weeks later is great for me as it increases the chances of me buying it. Six months later, im already moved onto other games.

(No hostility towards you, just using you as an example for the thousands of people that move on after release)
It'll be nearly two months after release when the first DLC episode launches. The entire season pass is only $25 for three episodes. What kind of content are you expecting for that price? An entire expansion to the base game? Two months (probably closer to three since this DLC likely went into full production once the base game went gold) is plenty of time to develop a few extra missions involving Black Cat and some costumes. I don't know what your expectations are for that price but they're obviously unrealistic.Nah they aren't lazy, they're greedy. Of course. The majority seem more interested in playing games than in games, as in the medium, how games are developed, etc, in the way that film enthusiasts are probably also interested in film design or at the very least, in the behind-the-scenes/making-of side of film.
This is going to be repeated no matter how much people try to educate others as to how development works isn't it?
so this
"As you play the base game, you'll realize that Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, is back in town and she's leaving clues around town to toy with Spider-Man. In Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist, she finally reveals herself. "
is the part that makes it sound like cut content
like it's a series of side missions that they put in the main game and then cut out the second half of it to sell as DLC

No it doesn't. It's literally saying this character is mentioned in the base game, further expanded on it the DLC. It sounds like cut content if you're already angling for that conclusion.so this

i'm not saying it is, clearly I haven't played it
