Sabrina being this creepy all powerful monster is an interesting interpretation of how OP psychic types were in gen 1.
Also lol at recommending a ghost to beat sabrina when the only ghosts available at the time were also weak to psychic and the best ghost move that actually did bonus damage vs psychics was Lick.

Considering she was about to break Ash and friends with a ball I highly doubt she's the type to keep trainers in there for long. They must have been sent to another dimension.
In the anime, the Indigo League has a lot more Gyms than just 8 (Gary has 10 badges and it's suggested that there's at least one gym per type).
