Hover is a fast-paced single and multiplayer parkour game set in a futuristic 3D Open World. The game takes place in ECP17, a high-tech city also called Hover City by its inhabitants and located on a distant planet. The Great Admin cut the communication with the Galactic Union and established a strong dictatorship. Having fun has become illegal and entertainment is banished.

You're in charge of a team of young rebels, who fight against the new anti-leisure laws oppressing the city. Equipped with high-tech gears allowing amazing jumps and speed, roam the city to sabotage the propaganda, help citizens, and put an end to the oppression by reaching the Galactic Union!

Hover unique features include:
- An amazing City: Hover City is a huge futuristic colorful city. Its buildings offer breathtaking vertical playgrounds. - Astonishing moves: Slide, bounce, dash and wall-jump through Hover City thanks to your high-tech suit.

- Online multiplayer: Join your friends online at any time and continue the adventure together, whether you are cooperating or working against them. Participate in race, events or scoring battles created in real time by the community.

- Crossplay between PC/XBO/Switch or PC/PS4

- Level up mechanics: Gain experience and unlock chips that improve the aptitudes of your character. You can trade your spare chips in order to get better ones through the E-Swap trading system.

- A customizable experience: Instantly switch from single to multiplayer, whenever you want. Play first or third person or activate the auto camera that mixes both and offers you a dynamic experience.

- A dynamic J-Pop inspired soundtrack: composed by Cedric Menendez, with the participation of Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio, Yakuza series…)

I kickstarted it in hopes it would be like Jet Set Radio but I'm very disappointed, just my 2 cents. I haven't played it too much but I didn't like what I saw.

You can play this entirely solo right?

Framrate seemed iffy for multiplayer in these trailers and I wanna get it on switch.

I haven't played it yet, but I remember being disappointed at how the "skating" looked. for a game that was inspired by Jet Grind Radio, there's not that much that looks as fun as the series. hope I'm wrong

This game's been out for over a year, looks like exactly my kind of game, has good reviews on Steam, and I've never heard of it. Well thanks for the port announcement at least, now I know it exists and can buy it.

It's a pretty fun open world game with grinding. It's pretty confusing at times but there is few thing better than running and jumping really high. Glad it's coming to other systems

I've wanted this for a while but I want to see reviews for the console version and probably hold out for physical release. I've rarely heard any mention of it since the Steam release and not sure of the reception it got but it still looks really fun.

Finally, the wait was so long that I even forgot about the console ports. The resolution seems a bit low in the Switch trailer though...

The Switch version isn't same day and date as the other versions? PASS!

Sheah, as if. ;-) I'm a sucker for arcade racing games and this looks right up my alley. Give me decent reviews and I'm in.

Did this end up being good? If you had to pick, does it play more like Mirror's Edge or Jet Set Radio?

I desperately want more games like Mirror's Edge. I remember trying an early build some time ago (Oddly, I don't remember the context), and it felt kind of wonky.

Edit: And where the heck is that DRM-Free PC version that was promised in the Kickstarter?! >:|

I've been looking forward to this but after playing it at PSX in December I don't think it's very good at all.

The style, sound, and presentation is very much Jet Set Radio but the gameplay isn't. I found it really difficult to find where I was supposed to go, didn't enjoy the quests / missions and it had a weird system where you equip all these power up chips that seemed really unnecessary.

With that being said, the dev was super nice and I might still buy it just to listen to the music and show support.

I'm not sure if that's true these days with long awaited returns keep happening. I could see a re-release and new game happen.

As much as I would love to see a re-release of Jet Set Radio for current gen, I will admit that when it comes to Sega, I don't have that high of a vote of confidence with them. Mind you the guys doing Streets of Rage 4 have done fine work, but between this and PSO, I can't really say I can believe in Sega. At least not right now.

They just re-released Shenmue though? Yakuza has more support than ever before, SEGA has been doing pretty well.

Doesn't seem to ooze with style the way JSR/F did, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Just hoping the song in the trailer isn't indicative of the soundtrack's quality overall...

Day one!

I've been following this game for years since the first KS announcement.
It's finally coming, so glad! :)

Oh shit I backed this game way back when. I forgot about it for a while until I got an alpha code (which I don't even think I was supposed to get), and I was like Meh this isn't for me, then when it came out early access I tried again and it improved so much. It's a really fun game people should try it.

Really want this game to be good. JSRF was one of my fondest OG Xbox memories.

Can anyone speak to how this game controls? Does it feel good?

Any reason why this is not available in Australia (on Xbox)?

Seems to be available in numerous countries' stores but not Australia.

And with Microsoft cracking down on VPN and region changing recently it sucks.
