Hmm kinda obviously cut content. Rather than a Blood and Wine/Left Behind type DLC. But oh well. Hopefully I'll be excited to play more and be happy that it comes so soon after release.

Oh, gross. So you spend the entire game wandering around New York picking up Cat droppings but you don't get to confront her unless you fork over more cash?

At least punching the Riddler in the face was on disc in Batman. How is there supposed to be any sort of satisfying resolution to what seems to be a generic fetch quest when you won't get anything more than an angry phone call?

"Curse you, Spider-Man! You've found all my Cat Packs and disrupted my operation! I'll get you... this October! For $9.99! Hit options to go to the stooooooore!"

How is this any different from Forza and other games with season passes where dlc starts dropping within months of release? Games have to be feature locked by a certain point, so there could be a decent amount of time bertween that happening and the game hitting store shelves. So just because DLC arrives soon after, doesn't mean you're being screwed over.

I just hope they are substantial DLC. Always worries me it'll be like the DLC from Batman where most of it was pretty bad.

I wish they did this with god of war.
Even horizon was way too long after launch.

Playstation is finally becoming a good drug dealer. I want my re-up immediately.

Yeah, announcing DLC before release is just silly. Worse, when the DLC hits, it will be old news. Why not wait until much closer to the DLC release date?

Because we knew about DLC when they announced the release date months ago. This really isn't new info.

And despite a few hyperbolic posts here. It's not cratering any hype at all. You don't have to buy the DLC. I'm sure most people will find great joy in the main game.

Obviously cut content if it's coming that soon after launch. I'll just keep boycotting these shitty DLC practices. Honestly, I can't even remember the last good DLC that wasn't a full expansion such as the two released for Witcher 3 a year or so after launch.

Sorry, not a fan of this stupid concept of DLCs when the game isn't even out. Shame on you guys.
You think they code until the day the game releases and magically produce blu-rays out of nowhere? Version 1.0 of any software has a set specification and content that ships with it, and that's what you're paying for. They don't drop all work once they finish version 1.0 though, they need to keep their jobs, so they work on the next set of features (DLC) which usually happens even before version 1.0 hits the shelves. It's not rocket science and they aren't screwing anyone over.

Yeah I've come to accept that DLC are announced before a game even launches... but DLC launching a month and a half after release?

Not really on board with that..

It's not.

We had a separate team concepting on these in parallel with the main team but full scale work didn't really start until a few months ago.

And that team concepted it based on what they wanted to see in the game

Consider all 3 bought from me. Love when DLC chapters hit soon after launch I rarely go back to it if there is a long gap between DLC.

DLC content coming out later or early does not tell you if it's cut content or not .
Plus it would be 3 months since the game gone gold .

I was kind of hoping for early next year, with Red Dead out in October it'll be a busy fall/winter for me.

Looking forward to see how substantial it is. These comments about cut content are embarrassing though.

I dont really mind this. I doubt this is cut content, as in Destiny and more like side stuff apart from the main story.

What's the issue that people have with? I'm pretty sure we knew there was gonna be DLC/season pass with this game so I don't really understand what the problem is?

Gonna wait for a sale to buy the game then, especially when the DLC has Black Cat involved.

Coulda at least waited until launch. Don't tell me before I even have the game I've got to spend more money.

I'm about to purchase the game. I'm deciding between deluxe and standard. Knowing what is coming sways my decision.

You don't have to spend more money. You apparently didn't know about this content before now and were fine spending money based on what you've already seen. This allows you to make an informed decison.

How is this bad?

I'm all for DLC, but the pricing is gonna be downright ridiculous, as far as I can tell. How long will these be, collectively?

It's $24.99 in America for a season pass, so I bet the UK version is gonna be something ridiculous like £20...

If it's like 10 hours or so of content then that's okay. but it all coming out that close together sends off alarm bells to me.

If they are good I couldn't careless how close they are to release. I'm fine waiting until December to buy any too.

That feels a little too soon if this is elobrate enough to have new enemies and story content. Alternatively if these really are being made purely post going gold, Im not sure how much content they can produce in a month or 2 for each.

What bizzare logic gamers have to pay for the Deluxe Edition, including the long announced DLC, then complain when they are given release dates for said DLC.

Would they prefare the BS Battlefield pulls where you're still waiting 18 months after release to get your fill of the promised DLC. Or perhaps other single-player games where the expansions arrive so late everyone has moved on.

I guess some will say, "ah, this was pulled from the full game". Despite the final DLC releasing 4 months after the game shipped.

Sure, I just think it's kind of taking a bit of the thunder away from the game, right before it releases ("look at this cool stuff that won't be in the game you're buying in a couple weeks!"). I understand they want to let people know what they're paying for with the season pass, though.
