Ben Esposito (the creator) was on Kinda Funny Games Daily today. He said Donut County was born out of a "game" he made as part of the MolyJam from a few years ago. The purpose of that game jam was to make functional games based on the Peter Molydeux twitter account (a Peter Molyneux parody account). I wonder if that MolyJam version is still available. It'd almost be like a prototype of sorts.

Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my PS4 during my travels so I won't be able to play Donut County, Z.O.E 2 Remaster or Spider-Man until mid or late September. Fuuuuuuuuck. Well, I should be fair to myself in that I forgot that when I went back to the UK in December, I took my old PS4 as well so I could transfer some shit from it to the Pro I had there and when I returned back to Kuwait a few weeks back I thought that the old PS4 was still there lol. I'll be focusing on other titles I guess, like We Happy Few & the Shenmue remasters which should arrive to me this week. As well as Shadow of the Tomb Raider whenever it releases.

There's still a lot of people out there with the dream of working in games media.
Not that one shouldn't pursue their dream just because it's hard, but knowing how high the mountain is is a good thing. Especially since the view from this particular mountain doesn't seem super great.
Beat donut county. This game has so much styyyyyyylllleee. It's basically held together by cute touches and charm. But it's damn polished.

You could get it for free on steam last week and that gave the playerbase a pretty big bump. It was at 200k concurrent at a point and still at 50k on the weekend. So at least right now it's still going.

PUBG community is really good. If I hop in a random squad I always meet some fun people. Usually crazy Russians.
Never played an online game where so many people are cool, good teammates, and use microphones. Not since early XBL anyway.
I've been playing for the past week or so on PC after taking a couple months off, players have been generally quiet.
It was slowing down significantly. The free weekend helped. No idea about the toxicity of the community.
I usually play with friends but i can agree with this. It's the first online game in a while where meeting good-natured teammates is common as opposed to the exeption.
There's also a surprisingly big number of people playing in public spaces.
Get ready to get shot by your teammates as soon as people see you are low level, because lolfucknoobs.
