You telling me the same people that named UCF champs in '17 named us champs in '16?
Lmfaaaaaooooooo sure. Why not?

Yeah, I mean what choice do we have? Still, it shouldn't be that hard to set this offense up for Franks to succeed given the talent. Now I don't know how the OL is going to look but it can't be that bad.
Just seems like everyone around us can put young QBs in and have them playing well enough to make the offense look competent or even great. Our one bright spot at QB was Grier - before and after we might as well have had paper fucking bags at the position.
I haven't been paying any attention to Florida (or really anyone else but us) but I assumed Emory Jones would compete and I haven't heard a thing about him. Has he not looked good at all?
The only things that explain Florida's total incompetence at offense are either a Faustian bargain for Tebow, or Saban putting a hex on Florida during his ascension. Former Florida QBs have done quite well: Will Grier pumped up as a Heisman candidate at WVU, Jacoby Brissett had a good career at NC State and seems to be a solid NFL backup, Tyler Murphy had a solid year at BC, and Jeff Driskel recovered well enough at LA Tech to hang onto an NFL roster spot.Yeah, I mean what choice do we have? I mean, I fully expect us to run the ball about 60% of the time with all the RBs we have but yeah, it all falls on the OL and Franks to determine our season. The would be surprised to see Trask be the starter by Tennessee though.Yeah, I mean what choice do we have? Saban has two QBs because Jalen is staying through Graduation regardless of the position battle. That is on him as much as it is on Saban 'managing' the competition.Well Scott Frost May have messed up his QB handling.
He inherited. RS Fr Gebbia who is damn good and basically he and Starting QB Tru FR Adrian Martinez were neck and neck all camp.
Frost decided mid last week, asked the staff, and told them sat or Sun.
Gebbia quit the team and is transferring today, if he hits a school on the trimester system (aka UCLA) he can likely make this his transfer year and still have 3 to play 3.
The other QB transfer from UCF is ineligible this season, so Frost has a true frosh, a walk on, and some dude at QB in an offense that has been known to go through QBs.
On one hand, good on him for being clear about where people stood, but maybe a 2 QB system and going the Saban route to ensure he had a solid back-up.
We shall see
Is a new thread going up this week? Or is the thread for Week 1 games?
Yes. Not until Wednesday or Thursday though. Probably the latter. If there's a request to get it up earlier I can try.
We'll probably be doing new threads during the season every Tuesday though.
On some level, that's almost the worst thing they did in this whole situation. And they did some shit.In "fuck Baylor" news their administration planted people in sexual assault survivor groups to control the message.

He just needs do work on his accuracy before Mullen would ever name him starter. He's shown flashes of what the future holds for him but just not right now. He will play in certain packages during the season though.I haven't been paying any attention to Florida (or really anyone else but us) but I assumed Emory Jones would compete and I haven't heard a thing about him. Is there a way to see your conference picks after you submit them? Because I forgot to copy them before I sent it out.
Much to the surprise of nobody, Kelly Bryant (Clemson) and Deandra Francois (FSU) are starters for week 1.
Maybe it was a media thing, but i remember there being some brief competition for QB1 at Clemson. Maybe that was just hot air?
The early season OTs tend to attract the most outsiders, so it needs to look more presentable than usual.
That's right! Roll Tide! You telling me the same people that named UCF champs in '17 named us champs in '16?

Of course there was competition at Clemson. You'll see Lawrence play this year, and don't be surprised if he ends up starting before the season ends. But Bryant was always gonna be the day one starter. You don't bench him for a true freshman you haven't seen in live action yet.
As for Frenchy, well, duh. Dude's a baller. No disrespect to Blackman, who kinda got baptized by fire last year.
Blackman performed fine considering he was a true freshman QB who weighed 100# and led a team that quit halfway through the season because the coach was a flaky sumbitch.
Beat me to it. :jnc
We haven't actually beaten y'all in C-F in a minute. I think the last time was Glennon.
Certainly hope we can pull it off though.
Always a tough game in Raleigh. Plus, Clemson will have just got done beating up FSU.
I'm just hoping it's a noon game.
The only time we get noon games is when we suck so hopefully it isn't a noon game.
Why'd Andy get banned? Did he post in the Jacksonville shooting thread, or something game related?
Well that is a schematic advantageHe was advocating piracy, telling people to download his podcast for FREE
