Lol, was having the naked girl's boob front aand center while you're carrying her outside really necessary?

Anyway I'm impressed but not sold yet. Brings me some Deus Ex vibes Human Revolution, a game I played and didn't particularly love. So we'll see.

Now to see if WB Games will publish this also and if they'll taint the game with microtransactions or worse.

I'll wait for the Gamersyde footage to make a determination.
They will have a 1080p video, wont be better than watching the actual 4K video on Youtube

Oh and graphics wise, the part with the big amount of people in the city was definitely nice but overall I don't find it ground breaking or eye melting in any way. E3 impressions sure made it sound that way.

Facial animations is really nothing special at all. Fuck I'm disappointed that I'm not nearly as hyped as the people during E3 and a lot of people here. It is what it is and we'll see what happens.

First 10 minutes= not that impressed but I get that it's like a tutorial area (I'm hoping anyway) given how guided it was. Even the lady on the radio was telling you where to go on the side route, and the whole scene after the fight seemed all non interactive.

I totally get the deus ex comparisons though. My first thought was wow this looks like a prettier mankind divided.

Update from a PC Gamer article (https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-gameplay-video/) what the game director Adam Badowski said about this gameplay demo:

"Since many of the assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are most likely to be modified, we initially decided to show this gameplay only to media. Elements like gunplay (both in terms of visuals and how RPG stats influence it), netrunning, car physics, or the game's UI — everything's pretty much still in the playtest phase and we felt uneasy about publicly committing to any particular design," game director Adam Badowski said, explaining CD Projekt's initial reluctance to release the gameplay video to the public. "Animation glitches, work-in-progress character facial expressions, early versions of locations—all this made us hesitant to release what you're about to see."

"However, we are also well aware that many of you want to see what the media saw. Although this is probably not the same game you'll see on your screen when we launch, we still decided to share this 48-minute video with you. This is how Cyberpunk 2077 looks today. Let us know what you think!"
We think we wouldn't like a downgrade and just improvements from this build on.

I haven't followed RDR2 super closely(which is great as I'll be going in mostly fresh), but quest design in this will be leagues ahead unless Rockstar drastically changed the design from the first game. Combat/movement looks more impressive here as well. Writing will no doubt be better. The Witcher games have far superior writing to any Rockstar game.(especially 2&3)

RDR2 will probably be great, but for very different reasons. The two games are really not that similar besides the open world aspect. (and Cyberpunk's will be very different with all the verticality it has)
both GTA V and RDR had greater gameplay than Witcher 3 though

the two games have completely, and i do mean completely, different environments
Uh huh. And I dare say that building a dense, believable futuristic city is far more difficult than a wild wild west setting.

In any case, I certainly hope there won't be any downgrades in terms of graphics because what I saw looked completely believable. If anything, I hope it improves before release.

I don't like this disclaimer at all. You don't get to generate huge hype by showing a tonne of features without being held to account later, whatever stage of development it's at.

People are perfectly within their rights to use this gameplay in future to protest if there are big features missing that are shown here. If the devs aren't convinced these big features will ship, then don't show them here, or own up to removing them before release.

Anyway, about to watch this gameplay so maybe my principles will go out the window afterwards...
wow, entitled much?

Shit happens, things change, they have to make a disclaimer so when the inevitable nerds come down berating on them because they dared to remove a pixel from the car's dashboard they can defend themselves by saying "tould you it could happen".

You are fucked if you don't show early gameplay like this publicly.

You are fucked if you do show early gameplay like this publicly.

Graphical downgrades cause controversy, but 'that gun was shooting differently' or 'why did you change the interface' isn't anything I've seen people get upset over - many games redesign their HUD, or re-balance their weapons prior to release. If you manage expectations I don't see any issues occurring.

This looked pretty mind blowing to be honest. If CDPR can deliver on what they're showing here, it'll be something special. As a huge cyberpunk nerd, I love the world and all the small details they've crammed into the game. I was hyped before, and this did nothing but increase my interest. Excited to see more.

Looks great but nothing groundbreaking like some journalists hyped it to be. I wish they showed how different choices would have influenced the mission.

Not only does it seem to be one of the most ambitious and complex rpgs ever made, but the gunplay seems to be up there with the very best shooters.
This is one CDPR game where people wont be complaining about the combat.

This has a very serious shot at goat.

You have a lot more faith in humanity than I do if you think that 50 years from now such slurs wont be used by people. Also it would be kinda weird if tough guy gangsters and hardened criminals used PG13 language when threatening you.

Yes, full frontals were confirmed by devs back in E3.
wow! Think it will get censored on Xbox like that Conan game?

Just watched the whole thing on YouTube. Game looks pretty damn good at this moment in time.

Only watching one particular run through of one mission, when there'll hopefully be several ways to prepare for and approach objectives, obviously leaves far more questions than answers. I'm looking forward to a deeper dive on character creation as well. But Night City looks fantastic though, like I can imagine just roaming around for hours upon end exploring and completing side quests.

Overall I enjoyed that. Excited to see more as well, sooner or later.

World and gameplay looked cool but the unnecessary female nudity and constant use of the word "cunt" for edge points really put me off :/
Was the nudity really unnecessary? Kind of made extra clear how little those scavengers value human life. It would be rather strange if they would grand people the dignity to leave them in their clothes.

The world design looked great, and there was a ton of immersive elements and artistic value to be found in the demo. The gameplay appeared serviceable enough, the variety of weapon choices, playstyles, and movement options is where it may shine compared to the FPS titles of today. For instance, the idea of being able to hack enemies, and scale along walls with the mantis blades is intriguing as hell. I did want to see a bit more of the melee and stealth, but I'm sure they aren't done showing off the combat. I wasn't that impressed with the dialogue system; I thought the quality was reminiscent of Fallout 4. However, it was only a small sample, and the game is still presumably years away. Overall, a solid B+ reveal.

The game isn't releasing until 2020.

That's the thing, this is waaaay earlier of a large scale demo like this than you are pretty much going to see any company put out. Especially in a huge open world game like this.

I mean Rockstar just now gave us a 6 minute gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 only 3 months prior to launch. We are looking at 2 years out here.

This is going to top the Witcher 3 isn't it?

Pretty sure the main character was in bullet time, but I laughed too when that happened.

In what way? Witcher 3 had some pretty good stories in the side quests especially. The atmosphere was fantastic, likeable and interesting characters with very good voice acting. We have to wait and see how all of that is for this game.

Aw yeah. Looks like a great open world RPG I can't wait to get lost in. The PS5 launch is going to be awesome.

The blatant exploitation of tired stereotypes is really turning me off on this game.

I'd also wager it's hard to butcher (cause that's what they do considering the first corpse we see on the table) somebody for their mods if they're wet AND fully clothed lol.

I hope mods are possible for PC like Skyrim, but maybe not as in depth as Skyrim, anything gameplay related would be good enough.

It looks nice, not anything crazy IMO but nice, especially considering that the game is not nearly finished.

I'll wait to see real open world gameplay to form a real opinion, side missions and so, because the demo was heavily scripted and only showed linear main quests.

Ive only watched a few minutes so far, and WTF were the media smoking when they said this demo had the best graphics they had ever seen? lol its great but not amazing at all
Yeah I wouldn't say these are the best graphics we've ever seen but as a complete package this looks like the most demanding game I've ever seen with the sheer number of NPCs, the density of everything, the destruction and all the gameplay mechanics and RPG elements taken into account.
