The amount of choices and open ended gameplay was the best part. I am expecting RDR to be scripted like all Rockstar games, and not dynamic like this one.

Hopefully they do make it dynamic (as they said in the previews bit that remains to be seen).

Ah right, good point there. Yeah they do claim it has greatly improved but we'll be the judge of that :)

Looks good. I think it was slightly overhyped, but it was still pretty good. Only complaint (aside from a thread derailing complaint that's already been discussed) is that I wish V's voice was a tad deeper. Just a tad.

Really hoping adding local music files will be possible on PC. I need to add some Perturbator and Gost to this game.

this was amazing, it feels like i have just seen a game from the future. i can't believe there wasn't a single loading screen or anything, that's just unbelievable.
also all the details in the world, how does cdpr do it?? i legit had a oblivion-coming-out-of-the-sewers moment when V stepped out of the mega building into the streets.
all my worries about the weird tone of the trailer are over, this looks just like the Blade Runner/Akira/GITS/Neuromancer game i've always dreamed of.

if i have one complaint, it's that some of the weapon designs and combat don't look that cool to me. i loved the pistol and the mantis blades plus the double jump though.

but yeah i think this blows every other gmae that's not made by rockstar out of the water. i love deus ex but eidos must be shitting in their pants right now, this is deus ex times 10 or so in terms of scope, ambition and style.

People are really that turned off by the animations? So much so that nothing else presented in the game was able to make up for it? That's crazy to me.

Overall that looked great, and more importantly, looked like a real product. All the hitching and graphical defects made it look believable on current-gen hardware in a way that the trailer did not.

I'm not really convinced about the actual shooting aspect of the game, even less about all the aimbot guns in the game, but I'm sure it will be serviceable at least like the combat in The Witcher.

That's very reductive considering the interactions, details, and so on present in RDR. CDPR having a dense city and RDR having a frontier doesn't make RDR inferior in ambition or design
Rockstar has only spent 8 years developing RDR 2, 6 years developing brand new A.I, united all it's studios for one global effort on the game

but yeah its not as ambitious as Cyberpunk because it doesn't have a city /s

The gunplay actually looks better than I thought it would. I was assuming that would be the weakpoint.

The hud isn't anything special just because they have in universe explanation for it. It isn't suddenly different to other shooters and for functionality stuff like the optic zoom it could just switch to first person.

Just giving you some of the reasons why CDPR decided to go with first person, looking at this demo I agree with their work so far.
The game's much better off for it imo.

Hmmm cool, cool.

Still, I will wait on the TPP P.C mod from the fans, thats what I had in my head for 5 years, a 3rd person Massive open world Cyberpunk game where you could slip in and out of FPP/TPP like fallout/battlefront, I dreamed of a game like GTA V x Witcher 3 (rpg) x Deus Ex but better than that even.

My hope now is that the Dredd game when it's ready to be announced is 3rd person instead, then I will drop this quicker than the previous FPP games I play.

LOL. Witcher 3 was far from a linear game, but you think a game like this in a sprawling megacity will be linear?
Didn't play Witcher 3 so I have no frame of reference for the amount of random "stuff" there is to do in a CDPR open world game. My disappointment would be in strictly in comparison to games like Skyrim and GTA5, where there's a ton of exploration/nonsense to partake in. Even if the game isn't strictly linear, if there's no incentive to just fuck around in its world I'd consider that a bummer.

My favorite part about that demo is that it was all player driven. Fully embracing the interactive part of the medium.

The scale is my favorite thing about the demo. Even if it suffers graphical downgrades, reduced NPC counts and model variety, if the city still looks as overwhelming as it does now, it'll be impressive as hell.

Have to give it to CDPR, this is embarrassing for everyone else in the industry (looking at you Rockstar and Bethesda especially).
Not really. BGS last game was in 2015, by a team of only 100 people lol
Let's not forget that Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020+ title.
Cyberpunk looks (and will be) fucking amazing. But what it tries to achieve is def not what BGS and Rockstar wants to accomplish. No need to be mean towards two huge and good game studios that are known for doing their own unique things.

RDR 2 is more impressive to me than Ghosts of Tsushima, it's doing alot more with its open world

Ghosts has great graphics, but i don't think the world will come close to Rockstar's most detailed world yet

I agree with that.
Just talking visuals here, not AI or other things. At E3, journalists said Cyberpunk 2077 was the most impressive thing ever visually. After watchoing that gameplay video, it's clearly wasn't the case.

They've confirmed it's always that guy in a Eurogamer interview.
No, they said for the purpose of the demo.

The one change the demo did have is you could now play as male V as well. I was interested to see that regardless of the gender you always seem to wake up in the morning with a male companion.

Weber: In this demo at least you will always wake up to another man, so we can show different kinds of relationships will be part of the game, and players will be able to choose what kind of character they want to play.

Not sure who said it (I think it was Schreier), but one of the things that impressed me the most is that it "looks like a real game". While they kept repeating that a lot of the stuff on display is work in progress, I have to say that it looked pretty damn impressive for a title that has no release date yet

Right now I am most excited by the crowded, bustling, city which promised to be the most impressive of any game yet.

Graphically, I wouldn't say I was blown away.

Gameplay, looks like there will be a ton of options for everything. I hope it is much, much deeper than modern Deus Ex and not just surface options.

The interaction with Dum Dum was well written I felt. I want to see more interactions at that level.
