Well this is certainly one of the dumbest downgrade controversies I've seen yet.
Find something else to do. This is some petty, pointless shit. The game comes out soon anyway.
YeahI can understand when downgrades actually lead us to believe that we were being lied to.
This is a non-story.
You like the pasty white skin there? Lol
The hairline and tired eyes in 2018 make him like 28 years old lol .. the 2017 is way way better
I think they're trying to say they prefer 2017 from an artistic perspective, not technical. You like the pasty white skin there? Lol
And the lack of lighting on the hair or the flat PS2 ear? You like that? Crazy
The lighting is so much better in the 2018 shot
Some people just are smh just ridiculous

The lighting in the 2018 shot is far superior, yes. That I can understand more
Not the technical aspect though
But honestly the lighting just seems to add definition to the face, some kids don't look 18 when they are 18 too anyway
Not an issue for me personally
It is...

so other people can read the responseWhy even respond to someone who basically admits they are not capable of changing their mind? Seems odd.
exactly. I feel by responding to this gives this rumor a sense of credibility, which it's clearly not.Why even respond to someone who basically admits they are not capable of changing their mind? Seems odd.
Well they've gone from
"they (puddles) are not reduced"
to
"we reduced the amount of puddles"
Maybe they need to stop responding.

Yeah but 2018 looks better .from the faces to lighting to hair .there are still many scenes with lots of puddles so no big loss what so ever .Well they've gone from

It's so weird to see people with no technical knowledge double down on their 'expose'. Especially when they start throwing around terms like ambient occlusion without knowing how that is affected by different light sources etc. All that footage available yet they refuse to move on from a single screenshot.

New comparison pics, found on twitter.
2018 definitely looks better to me.

Twitter outrage this gen is something else. These graphics all look better.
why are hardcore xbox fans complaining about a non existing downgrade for a game they won't be able to play?
Finally a comparison I can get behindI think I've found definitive proof of the downgradeton:
2017:
2018:
You can't tell me there hasn't been a significant hit there.

lolNFS 2015 had one of my favorite downgrade controversies. EA had showed gameplay at E3 and then showed it again at gamescom. People then started claiming that the gamescom build was downgraded compared to the E3 one. A developer popped into the thread and said that he knew for a fact that it hadn't been downgraded compared to the E3 demo because the gamescom demo was actually the exact same demo that they brought to E3.
I clearly see FPS dips on the 2018 build. And anisomorphic fluctuation is worse too. How got Sony always gets away with this?
