Spider-Man Hype Check - Less than a week out

I'm very hyped and have been for over a year.
I'm also going into the game without expectations. The quickest way for me to ruin it for myself is to say "I hope it's like this" then if it isnt, you know.
I know its Spider-Man, it's open world, and New York based. Just going to enjoy the ride the way Insomniac meant for me too.
Hopefully that's going to be great.

Was looking forward to it, but a not that much due to not having a PS4 for most of this year and thinking I wasn't going to be able to get another one in time for release. Scooped one up though, and my hype is through the roof for this.Just swinging around the city looks like it's gonna be fun as hell. (Doubly so, since I'm a NYer, lol)

i was never too hype for it tbh. Once i heard insomniac i kinda checked out mentally on wanting it. I absolutely did not like Sunset Overdrive.
then there was the trailer with a villain i don't know or care about. All the QTE nonsense....and the ridiculous sprinting up the side of a building like The Flash. All of that combined, really soured me on it.
but as it gets closer. Im more interested. Simply because Spider-man has always been a fave of mine. And im just in the mood for a new superhero game.

Definitely hyped for this. Preordered with BB GCU + paid it off already for good measure. My ps4 pro is ready

Spider-Man's such a special case considering the number of low budget licensed games there has been. This looks to be Arkham-equivalent, if not even higher. I'm VERY excited.

Managed to preorder (again) the Spider-Man ps4 pro bundle, this time im not cancelling lol. Seriously though can't wait, don't have anything clever or interesting to say, just really wanna play an amazing Spider-Man game and this looks like it's going to be that and much more.
Yeah, although, haven't there been plenty of Batman games too? Not as much as Spider-Man since Spider-Man's more popular of course though, so I guess you're right.

A fellow Era member mentioned a place called ABT electronics. I had never heard of them but they're legit and have a ton of reviews, mostly positive. He said they are similar to a B & H. Total with shipping was $412, so it was even cheaper than big box stores. You probably will have to wait 2-3 business days cause the latest information is they won't actually ship till the 7th.
Not the physical version, no. I don't think you will be able to either since Sony and Amazon have had this problem for a few months now. I'm just going to wait and see if Sony will provide a 20% off code before I pre-order on PSN.
Congrats Pool! I noticed that you cancelled your other order thinking you would get a 500 Million PS4 Limited Edition and didn't get one. I never cancelled thinking there was an outside chance I wouldn't get the 500 Million PS4. Though to tell you the truth I thought I had a decent chance of landing one but those store apps really screwed me over and giving up a gamestop bundle because I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing my address. Oh well Spiderman bundle makes more sense to me anyhow as it is cheaper with a game I really want and I have about $100 BB Gift Cards hanging around.
Now just debating if I should trade in my black PS4 and white XBOX one S at Gamestop for $550 towards and Xbox one X. Problem is I never use my Xbox one s unless I'm watching a movie. I do have a few games I need to play. Just not sure it would be worth the trade-in but my wife would be mad if I have an extra PS4 in the house. I already have a regular limited edition Uncharted PS4. LOL! Decisions decisions.
Sooo hype. I had to bail from that thread... I do hope custom HUD (touch to show HUD) is in though, I want to swing around Manhattan without a map and my healthbar but not have to go to settings each time to turn them back on.
RDR2 :) My X will be napping and training for it while my Pro makes me pretend I didn't just take the N train to Manhattan.
damnI said I was done with Spidey threads until the 7th, but I guess I'm a liar. I've been doing Spider-Man drawings every day for the past week. Same pose every time (lazy I know), but a different costume. Thought it would be fun to do until the game releases. I'll post the first two I did, and if anyone wants to see more, I'll post the rest of what I've done so far. Also anyone else doing some fan art to pass the time?

I asked early on to be put on the train but I don't believe I was because I said I needed to add Spidey to my avatar, well. I finally got around to doing so.
It's not perfect but better than nothing.

One of my favorite things about Spider-Man 2 was the stat tracking. Gallons of web shot, distance travelled, crimes stopped, etc. Any word yet on if this game has such a feature?
