How does that work when the Vive/Rift are 90hz?
I take it back. If you launch, it has VR "support" in game. At least for me, it's the shittiest VR support I've ever seen though. SteamVR doesn't actually realize it's using VR and once in game, my default position is constantly resetting all over the place. And the game is just playing on a large virtual screen. I can do that with any game and Reshade's 3D. But it's not just that, if I turn my head at all, everything has a nasty warping to it. It feels like this "VR" is simply cutting the screen in half and not really accounting for distortion properly.
I don't know, maybe at some point you stop playing on a projected screen, but I quit. If it eventually goes into actual VR, somebody post. I'll give it another shot. But first impressions are terrible.
It works fine. Still amazing and one of the best games you can play on PC.
It's pretty cool. If you turn around and look up, you see your mech doing everything in real-time. It's pretty rad.
There is VR support though. I played it in VR.
Area X yes, normal game in VR... Is the only VR game to give me a headache. Its better on PS4
Demo is locked to 60 FPS and only works properly in full screen. I'm playing on a 120 Hz monitor and if I select borderless or window, the game increases to 120 FPS but it plays at double the speed. It seems the game's logic is not configured to properly work with high refresh monitors.

I'll definitely grant you it's polarizing (with it seemingly split about 50/50 over whether people are bothered or not by the main section). I just took a little bit offense to the lol and "it's not" part. Because for many, it's still amazing. I have no doubt it'll be better on HMDs that can do 60/120hz, though.
It only has a virtual screen for some scene. Actual gameplay is full vr inside Jehuty. As for the warping, I think you can disable that in the options.
Does it play at 45hz or something? Assuming PSVR is the better way to play sans Area X?

The PC demo is broken for me, as soon as I press any button on my controller the game crashes, keyboard and mouse are fine :/
I'll do my part to buy the game when it's out. I still remember the ps2 demo like it was yesterday. Played it daily for a month straight, organic chem exam couldn't even stop me.
My guess is, with how poorly received the last MGS game was, Konami is gauging interest and considering a ZoE3. I'm also personally hoping they test the waters for Castlevania.
The other thing to consider was how botched the last ZoE collection was. It's nice to have a quality remaster. MGS already has one on PS3, and it wasn't all that long ago, so give it time.
MGS HD should come to current geneventually. If not, it'll be next gen.
I need help. I've been trying to find this demo on the US PS Store. When I go into the store I choose search. Then I type in ZONE. Then I choose ZONE OF THE ENDERS: 2nd Runner MARS. But when I go in I only see a site to pre-order. There's no link for the demo.

Currently, you have to create a UK PSN if you don't have one, and download it from the UK store. It's not on the US shop yet.

I played the original demo on PSVR and, honestly, was not very impressed at all, which is a bummer, since I was looking forward to it. I'm curious if I'm in the minority or if other VR users enjoyed it? I think this game actually is better suited for non-VR tbqh.
played the demo on PC, seems like an excellent port. Cygames really wants to push themselves as a brand of quality and excellence. 60 fps smooth, absolutely 0 issues, the game looks crisp, the particle effects are new, the explosion effects are new and very pleasing to the eye, even the film grain and motion blur in motion looks super nice. It gives two control types.

So I went to this link through my iPhone, logged in, and click on Try Free Demo. But there was no notification on my PS4 that it was downloading. So I had to look around. I finally tapped on account management on my phone, went to Download List, and click Download To My PS4. Then I FINALLY got a notification that the demo was downloading.
What an utter mess! Whoever came up with this type of UI needs to be fired.

I read that the producer is a fan of ZoE, that's all.
It has the FULL backing of Cygames too. I heard there is a ZOE2 events in both Shadowverse and Granblue Fantasy, their most popular mobile games
The game still holds up after all this time. Great graphics and gameplay. The dialogue is still cringe worthy. But that was part of its charm.
