Haha nice. Thought about applying there about 8 years ago and got warned off by a colleague at my old place (cnbc).

What are you in, engineering? Been a TX op for 15 years now. Live business news, then sci-fi came in and we did that as well, then we moved to IMG for the Premier Leagues own content production and then launched Sport 24 which shows almost all major sport to planes and ships.

Work in Media Management/Archiving. I actually deal a fair bit with IMG, they manage the rights of a couple of things we do and we archive a couple of shows (EFL Highlights & UCL Mag show). Did think about applying for a Media Management role I saw with PLP recently but didn't fancy the commute to Stockley Park and the 9 month contracts.

Ahh yeah those can be a pain. Fortunately for me they still broadcast all year round so that no problem, they obviously just only do the live stuff for 9 months. Been here about 6 years though and it always seems to be the same people every season so I think they are quite good at getting people back.

Hmm. You would have to wonder why Ocon would only spend the rest of the season at McLaren.. Unless..... Norris "on loan" to Toro Rosso as part of that deal to get James Key in happens next year, and Ocon/Sainz are the two at McLaren in 2019.

And hey lets's go cray cray while we're at it - now Alonso is out of F1, maybe Ocon at McLaren is a way for McLaren Mercedes to be a thing again. That'll be good for the lulz.

Honda seems to have issues with McLaren and not with Alonso, per se. At least that's what I'm gathering from all the IndyCar talk.

the edge
I don't quite understand why they kept the Force India brand as part of the name when they didn't get the entry and start from zero anyway. I hope this gets cleared up during the weekend.

Racing Point sounds like one of those fake team names from the Motorsport Manager game. But I guess it's still better than Stroll GP.

That's harsh losing those points. They were doing well as a mid-pack team. Unfairly costs the a fortune in lost money, while handing more money to the teams they were beating in the championship

Poor Stoff.

McLaren wanted Ocon in the car for Hungary, Peter Windsor said he had a seat fitting after Germany but Wolff stalled because he only wanted to send him there on loan. McLaren must've bought him out of his Merc contract?

Hartley better hope he doesn't bin it this weekend or Marko will bin him with Norris and Vandoorne now in play.

They'll still almost certainly jump back up over williams, sauber, and toro rosso with 9 races left still. They were in 6th place before and 7th is only at 28 points right now.

Is any other outlet supporting the insane driver switching report from Auto Motor und Sport?

Just finished my first free practice in F1 2018. Chose Force India, RIP. My quick review: the halo sucks.

Hahaha
Buxton to Ric: You think Marko might do a Marko and move you to TR for the rest of the season?
Ric: Shit I hadn't thought about this....

That felt like the shortest summer break ever.

I guess that all the news about driver moves and Force Indie made it feel like F1 never went away.

I probably followed F1 news way more during the break than I do during the season.

would love it if there was a stream link when P1 starts...

Lance Stroll is in a weird position.

If he scores points during the remaining races it could mean that his dad and his future team get less money next season.

I see he was banned, but I just want to note that F1 TV has been working very reliably now for the last few races...
I see things are progressing. Last time someone was banned here after posting a video, now someone was banned for simply posting a question. It's kinda funny because since this year F1TV's streams are fully legal.
