Oh wow I had no idea Bamco was publishing that. Larian themselves are indie and the first game was published by them.

Nevermind then!

Even if it wasn't published by Bandai Namco, it still wouldn't have been featured there. Larian Studios is a 150-man multinational company, they're not really making indie games, even if they're an independent developer.

Ultimate Chicken Horse, please.

Have been waiting for this game on switch for so long. I know it's in certification according to their blog.

If anyone has never heard of it, it's like a weird ass co op fuck your friends over mario maker. See video below for an idea.

Volition is owned by THQ Nordic, is it not?

Anyway it's a moot point, but I guess we don't exactly know how Nintendo decides what to treat as an indie/nindie.

I'm hoping for that Graveyard Keeper game, but it might be too soon for a port.

Also, maybe more info on that NMH game?

Man this Twitter posts sure are salty lol.

I personally can't wait! Hopefully they confirm the JP release date for Undertale to be the same here in the west.

And they have all right to be salty. People are hungry for a general direct for a while now especially after that horrible E3 and we just had a freaking Nindies showcase two days ago, so don't pretend Nintendo is doing a good job here marketing wise. Not everyone is into Indie games like you are. Many are tired of them, and while there are some good ones, the system is flooded with bad ones as well.

How about a real direct with real big boy games? I'm tired of all these Indies which more or less are the same thing and way too expensive.

It would be nice to have some non-Smash brothers news.

It would make perfect sense, just before Nintendo's online service as well as before TGS

Right. I could see them announcing something out of left field like new DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to release on the day of the paid subscription or something like that.

Man that game was supposed to be out in Q1. Wonder what happened

Good question. I hope we get answered on 8/28. I was excited when I first saw this game

Are none of you, except me, interested or excited to see this game?

When is this supposed to release? All I see is June 2018 but it obviously didn't release then.

Lol, right I forgot. "indie games aren't real games"

I seriously hope this is sarcasm, because if it isn't...

Loving all these presentations in relatively quick succession. Hope the NSO Direct isn't far off after this one.

This doesn't stop a direct from happening. Jesus I'm tired of these posts. If they planned a September direct months ago this didn't change anything. Just wait.

How about waiting some more days, just like last year...?

Because I don't care about a $30 indie game that looks like (or is) a mobile port?

If you don't care about indies, why are you posting here? Do you usually post in threads on topics you don't care about?

Girl, go educate yourself before spewing this dumb bullshit. You're gonna get your Direct for your "big boy" games soon enough, this one has nothing to do with it happening or not, so go leave the thread if you're not interested, Mr. Big Boy.

Okay hold up.

Nowhere did I say that I was personally excited for more indie games. I said I was excited to see this direct. Why? Because I can be excited for something that someone else will enjoy amazingly enough. I'm excited so far for Undertale and that's it. Cool?

Second. E3 may have been horrible to you. But not to others. People will always be hungry for a new direct no matter how many times we get one. And people will always be mad at Nintendo even if they showed "big boy games" like KoopaSwitch said a post below mine. So yeah I can laugh at people who on Twitter think all indie games are shovelware. There may be an abundance of indie games on the e-Shop, but Nintendo isn't going to show every random junk on a Nindies Showcase of all things.

Hoping for info/release dates on Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Kentucky Route Zero, Wargroove, Mark of the Ninja, and Hyper Light Drifter. I'd be happy getting 3/5.

Speaking of Shovel Knight.

Did we ever get a release date for that Triple Amiibo pack? Wasn't it announced like last year?

Chances of it are low but I hope VA-11 HALL-A gets some recognition.

That and Supergiant putting its games on the switch would be abso-frickin-lutely amazing.

I think you might be disappointed. The Spring nindie showcase didn't focus much on already known games or fixed release dates for known games.

Damon Baker commented on that and he said he got the feedback from people were disappointed that we didn't see old indie games.

He said he likes the idea of always showing new indie games, but he would try to balance it a little better.

He even said he reads message boards so he definitely reads our reactions here.
