Expecting a lot of 8's and some 7's for this.

First Yakuza game that won't be a day 1 for me since Yakuza 5 but I'll definitely pick this up sooner rather than later.

Is the area still as restricted as in 6? The demo seemed like this could be the case. In 6 I thought at first it's a demo thing, but it wasn't.

It's actually at a 89 based on 20 reviews.

Just finished 6 this past weekend, so won't be a day 1 buy from me, but very excited to play what is considered the best by a lot.

Kiwami 2 is a great game. Especially with the added Majima story and extra side activities. Personally 2nd favorite in the series.

Hope to see some good scores for the game.

Hmm so the review scores are living up to the countless claims I've heard that 2 has the best story of the series. I'm salivating at the prospect of a game that's potentially better than 0. Beyond hyped now for Tuesday I can't wait.

The fact this's getting even higher scores than 0 (at least so far) is getting me excited. 0 was my goty last year and I feel this's gonna be my goty this year.

Nice to see it doing well.

I've been playing the originals (I played 1 2 years ago so I thought it best to continue that) rather than the Kiwamis, and finished 2 a few months ago (and have started 3 now). It's a fantastic game, so I'm happy more people will get to play it through this.

Good scores. Last game in the series I haven't played and my copy is coming in on Tuesday. Hopefully I'm done with Ni No Kuni 2 before then!

I just want this game for the majima chapters.

But I like to see the Dragon engine refined, now make spin-offs with it...like Yakuza 0-2 happening in 1992, now that they remade Kamurucho and Sotenbori

Pretty great scores, going to be a blast playing 2 again with the extra stuff.

Also, the praises for the dragon engine makes me really hyped for how Shin Yakuza going to be.

They are short, but man do they manage to hit you right in the feels. I managed to eke about 2.5 hours out of his scenario, though those wanting to run straight through can probably shave about an hour off my time. While brief, they really do add a lot to the experience, and playing as Majima is an absolute blast. He makes Y0's Majima look like a pushover with those nasty dagger skills.

Great scores! Last year it was pretty clear that 0 was the main event and GOTY contender. I wonder if this year's votes will be more split between 6 and K2.

Yup, his final boss is also pretty great.

One of the hypest intro I've seen in a Yakuza game.

like 40ish hours.

Main story is about 22-25 hours. Rest is just side content.

So... when I played 0, Kiwami, 3 and am in the middle of 4.... I can just sandwhich this game in right now, right? I am good story-wise?

You can if you want, considering the events of Kiwami 2 take place between 1 and 3, of course. You may wanna finish 4, though, as going back to that after K2 would probably be rough.

Really cool, I'm playing through 0 on Steam and plan on getting Kiwami when that is out. So glad I finally gave the series a go.
