That's not how you used gross.
Just gota PSN is undergoing maintenance and booted out of Overwatch. Orlando here.
Hey fellow Texan!Same here, Texas. Never got a chance to send a friend request to the killer Mercy I was playing with.
PSN is down a lot. I don't remember the 360 ever having problems to this extent.
Psn isn't down often here either (Germany), I think it was only actually down once since the 3 years I have my PS4, but it certainly is a shitty and spotty service, I never had so much lag in online games, plus download speeds seem to get only worse too.
Yesterday I downloaded a SFV patch, it would tell me "16 hours" did a "connection test" which brought it down to "15 minutes", but for me the *unexplainable* lag during online games is definitely worse.
Free Knack for everyone!
This simply isn't true. My PS4 is secondary on my account so has to be online for me to be able to play any of my digital content. I can't remember the last time I wasn't able to do so.PSN is down a lot. I don't remember the 360 ever having problems to this extent.
It'd be interesting to compare the stability of Live vs PSN, how many times each has been down this year and the ones before. I remember PSN was down a number of times in the month after Christmas, while Xbox stayed pretty stable. In the last month, I recall PSN being down twice (today and at the beginning of this thread) while Xbox was down last week for a few hours. Anyone knows of any track record? It'd also be interesting to see their evolution, if they become more or less reliable, or just stay the same.
To stop people using a save editor isn't it? I think there's better ways to do it though. In context to this, I still don't get why you can only save online in GTS.
There's down detector website, but it's by no means a perfect way of tracking it, like less than 20 reports can make it say it was down. It'd be interesting to compare the stability of Live vs PSN, how many times each has been down this year and the ones before. I really don't understand this. I've been playing Destiny 1 and 2 since release almost every day with the same 6-8 people, and I can honestly count the number of outages that have affected any of us on one hand. We all live in North America.PSN is down a lot. I don't remember the 360 ever having problems to this extent.
Is save editing a widespread issue? And seriously, file encryption exists. Good ones even, not crackable in a lifetime. To stop people using a save editor isn't it? I think there's better ways to do it though.
I remember reading about it on Spanish sites, perhaps it was only here. People were really pissed. That has to be a regional thing, since it wasn't down where I live back then. I play online at least five days a week, so I would have noticed that.
According to this they are down almost every other day lolThere's down detector website, but it's by no means a perfect way of tracking it, like less than 20 reports can make it say it was down.
Here's PSN

XBL

It's locked behind a paywall at the moment, so not really, but it was pretty widespread last gen, at least on 360.Is save editing a widespread issue? And seriously, file encryption exists. Good ones even, not crackable in a lifetime.
Yeah, it's not great, the XBL one seems to at least be relatively decent, every 1 I checked had 500+ reports (still a tiny amount) around the same time, but some on the PSN side are barely 50 reports spread over hours.According to this they are down almost every other day lol
I'll take a closer look, it might be useful, thanks! ^^
Can confirm this, I remember the threads everywhere "psn down!" It was always online for me, mostly a ghost town but I always was still able to find enough players - ironically it usually ran better than normally too, probably simply because there was less server load. That has to be a regional thing, since it wasn't down where I live back then. I play online at least five days a week, so I would have noticed that.
Huh, there are working save editors out there for PS4, or is that what you mean by paywall? I don't know how widespread this is obviously but you don't need a hacked PS4 for this. It's locked behind a paywall at the moment, so not really, but it was pretty widespread last gen, at least on 360.
People have found ways to bypass the PS4's save encryption too, but last I checked, was still relatively early days and limited to modded consoles.
Yeah, it's called Save Wizard. You don't need a hacked PS4 for it either, but new updates usually break it until the creator make a new version that supports the new firmware. It's locked behind a paywall too.Huh, there are working save editors out there for PS4, or is that what you mean by paywall? Which only means that the encryption used is badly implemented. It's locked behind a paywall at the moment, so not really, but it was pretty widespread last gen, at least on 360.

Not necessarily, if it was badly implemented it wouldn't have taken so long to be bypassed in a very limited way (assuming there hasn't been a big break through since I last kept up with this stuff, which is possible, been like a year) and actually be a widespread thing.Which only means that the encryption used is badly implemented.
