Dark Souls Trilogy not planned for European release, urges to buy Switch version

i am somewhat glad that From isn´t doing business with Bamco anymore...it was/is fuck up after fuck up...why do you announce a trilogy of a beloved game series at a european event to say "oh that was for US/Asia only, sorry folks! but buy the Switch version that we delayed for months!"

wow this has me pissed. as someone who was looking to get into the souls games with the remaster but held off due to the weirdness surrounding it and the hassle of getting multiple specific versions of games, this package seemed perfect for me, and I was in fact checking for preorders across retailers last night

but oops no, it's not available to us here - despite it being ANNOUNCED here

this whole mismanagement between the switch version and now this has left me so sour. up yours too namco

To be honest, who cares? I'm sure you can pick up both DS2 and DS3 for dirt cheap at places like CEX or online. The trilogy package kinda feels like it'll be a rip off.

I said I jumped prematurely on the first person I replied to, but that doesn't mean there isn't people complaining about here. And I don't see how I accused an entire fan base? If you want to complete this dm you (although I can't see how it's hard for you not to see the complaining in here about that) and I'd send you as I've already stated before. I'm done with this here.

I doubt it really makes a difference for anyone looking to play the games, it's just a really weird looking decision when this was just announced at a European gaming convention.

The reaction of people in this thread is downright Shakesperean, if y'know what I mean. It's not like most people will be jumping on buying this package, these games have been discounted left and right by now and it'd very rare that someone interested in Dark Souls would not own one of the games included in it by now.

What do you mean by bombed? I just googled the sales numbers, but only found out that it sold over 130k in the first week which doesn`t seem too bad for such an old game. What were the sales expectations?

You don't think it's ridiculous that
- It's announced at a European conference while nopt coming out in Europe
- It's 2018, yet Europe gets denied a global succesful game
- It's releasing the same day DS1 for Switch gets released which got delayed
- People just bought DS1 Remaster only to find out it's coming out in a trilogy a few months later

Eveything about this is ridiculous and as an owner of every DS game out there I see how ridiculous this is and I'm gonna vent it too.

Well that sucks then. Haven't picked up Dark Souls III or Remastered yet so thought this might be a good opportunity provided the price is right. Most places still want $60 for remastered and $90 for Fire Fades here in Australia. Ridiculous!

Lol, Bamco PR is going down in flames. Watch Dar Souls Switch sell poorly and Bamco blaming Nintenfo on the poor sales. At this stage, if I were Nintendo negotiate with Fromsoft on a remaster DS Trilogy for Switch and they publish themselves. This is a big clusterfuck for Europe.

I don't get why they're doing things the way they are. It's 3 discs and 2 steelbooks. Yet for some reason this is going to be a super limited run and will be released at a time directly competing with itself.

I really like how they put nearly all of their stuff on PC nowadays, even day-and-date mostly, but some of their decisions are utterly baffling.
- Little Witch Academia game literally only got it's store page the minute it released, and there was no communication and people even started getting confused if it would release at all
- preordering that SAO Fatal Bullet game on PC gave you another SAO game. this was back in february. It was a new, working and as of yet unreleased game. There was no way to actually buy it after the Fatal Storm pre-order campaign.
Imagine having an entirely new and working game sitting around, but not actually letting people buy it. I think it released yesterday or something now, but there was no communication for months about what would happen or not happen.

And now they use an European event to announce something that is not available in Europe?
...They really need to re-think some of their publishing and marketing strategies.
