For those uninitiated, Them Crooked Vultures was a supergroup that released their only album in 2009. The band consists of:

Josh Homme on guitar and vocals from Queens of The Stone Age
Dave Grohl on drums and vocals from Foo Fighters/Nirvana
John Paul Johns on many instruments from Led Zeppelin

When I purchased the album back in the day I did not know what to expect. The first song titled, "No One Loves Me and Neither Do I"(linked below) started off kind of wonky, but by the 2:44 mark I was grooving. Who has had of this band? If you have not I'll link a few songs below. Either way lets appreciate these fuck boys.

I know of this band. Pretty fun stuff. JPJ is a god.

Fun story: there's a bluegrass festival near me every year called Merlefest. Huge event with big country/bluegrass/americana acts and a lot of competitions for seasoned and new pickers alike. JPJ showed up one year and smoked everyone in the mandolin competition and nobody even realized it was him lol

Love these guys, wish they'd put out a new album.

They're all three amazing in their own right and together they make some kick ass tunes

I really like this album and pretty much all of Homme's stuff (except, unfortunately, the latest QOTSA album) I would listen to another Vultures album absolutely

Loved the album. Was always surprised a second didn't happen. Like Josh homme's guitar style a fair bit.

I assumed they'd keep making music for awhile, so I'm very happy I went out and saw them live when they were in LA in 2009. Superb musicianship all around. As a massive Led Zeppelin fan, I was super interested when I heard JPJ was in it. He's really a genius on bass.

Really liked this album too, it's had a special place in my heart cause of how rocking it is and how I think it brilliantly puts together the sound and vibe of Queens of the Stone Age and the Foo Fighters.

Love 'em, just like all the other bands Josh Homme are in.

Was a big fan of the album and wished we had gotten more, and I really feel like Josh Hommes time doing this influenced the future Queens of the Stoneage albums.

I was never a big Queens fan, but the last two albums have been killer and felt like the Them Crooked Vultures album

Them? They're like a new fang - nothing.

Enjoyed their album! Not sure why they didn't make more music

Yeah this is a pretty good record and a fucking incredible line up. Was very lucky to see them live, a really great show and it's always a treat to have Dave on the drums.

Love'em. The album ranks up there with some of QotSA's best.

I've seen QotSA live before, but I would kill to see Vultures perform as well. I really want them to get back together again, but Josh and Dave seem to be busy lately with their main projects. JPJ hasn't really been doing too much stuff since Vultures, right?

I liked the album but it never became "stable" album for me. I pop it in every now and then and forget it for a year or two. Would like to have new music from the trio. Less Homme and more Grohl this time around. I mean they don't sound like QOTSA but at the same time the whole album has Homme written all over it, at least that's how I hear it.

I saw them live at Werchter. Loved them at the time, but they haven't really stuck with me as much as I thought they would.

Amazing band/album. Saw them live in Toronto before their album was released, mind was blown. We erupted in a "Holy shit" chant and Josh Homme said "That's the first time I've heard that".

I was at the Leeds festival 2009 and was lucky enough to be walking past the Radio 1 Tent (think that was its name at the time) to catch most of their secret set. It was middle of the afternoon on the Saturday if I recall correctly. Really glad I got to see that live, but I remember listening to the album and thinking it was just ok.

Great band and I was lucky enough to have seen them at the Royal Albert Hall.

Agreed.

I think things would have certainly have been helped with another singer.

I wish they'd make a new album. There were some rumors a couple of years ago but nothing since....
