Shenmue I & II HD |OT| Like a polished mirror

I usually pick up canned tuna from Tamato Mart.

I use RivaTuner OSD. Comes with MSI Afterburner overclocking utility.
I don't know if I have lost my touch or anything but I can't seek to do any of the moves inputs, am I going to slow or to fast?
No map in your inventory they are ok certain walls in the street.
Had a stupid thought, is it possible those playing from a disc install have issues with glitchy cutscenes and maybe those with a digital download don't? I'm on disk and I had the cutscene glitch like literally three times in the first 20 minutes of playing yet others are not getting g issues at all..
I just can't do a playthrough right now until this is fixed, I want to get engrossed in the game and story and not be worrying about missing important cutscenes and restarting from a previous save hoping it will work the next time.

Stand in front of the kitten, open your inventory, select the food, and then hit the button one more time once you have it selected.
Use the D-Pad during fights. Much easier than the stick. Especially motions like forward, forward, back, punch and things like that.
I have a digital download on PS4 and cutscenes are also massively glitching for me.
I've noticed other weird glitches and things to, like the Alex Kidd figure being completely invisible in game and in the model viewer, thought Ryo got scammed or something when he took nothing out of the capsule lol.
What console are you guys using?
I'm digital download on PS4 Pro and have had zero cutscene glitches. Plenty of glitches with missing sound effects though.
Literally no store in my city had a copy of the game today. Even the game store we have over here (Gamemania) didn't get any copies. They told me they will get theirs on thursday, but won't be allowed to sell them until friday for whatever reason (the releasedate is the 21st in the Netherlands, it's already available on PSN), and every Gamemania store will only get one copy of the game per platform... They really don't want this game to sell, do they? I managed to order one online (even then not every webshop in the Netherlands has copies of the game in stock) that will be here in the morning, but still... I know it's a niche game, very niche probably, but shouldn't every store that sells games have at least one copy in stock?
You can buy maps in Shenmue II, where in Shenmue I you have to rely on maps on announcement boards.
So, looking at the Steam page, I just realized something: why the heck is there no way to switch to the Japanese interface and Japanese subtitles? You can do that for every single supported language except Japanese. Why?!
I downloaded it and I've gotten it twice. Definitely the most serious bug I've encountered, hopefully they're working on it.
The option doesn't show in the button diagram in the corner, but if press the "action/confirm" button (X in the PS4, the equivalent "action" button if you're playing someplace else) on the item when near the kitten you will feed it.

Pro as well. I'm running it off an external HDD but I really doubt that means anything, every other game runs fine off it.
When i went to pick up my best buy preorder, the guy in front of me was picking up his copy too. That made my day lol.
Maybe boost mode might be causing issues since there isnt specific pro support.
Are your taking about at restaurants and grocery stands?
You can really only buy things from the Tomato Convenience store in Dobuita and Abe store in Sakuragaoka.
Also you can buy some move scrolls at an antique store. And you can go to a fortune teller as well for hints of you're stuck or help with which machine to use in the slot house.

If any of you are doing a first play through, you have no idea the greatness that awaits....................remember this came out in late 1999.
Played about 6 hours on PC and had no issues whatsoever, other than one minor cutscene where npcs didn't move their mouths while talking for a few seconds.
During the last ingame day I had to go to a place that opens at 2pm, went in, they told me to go to another place the next day, so I had to wait until night with pretty much nothing to do in order to be able to sleep. That wasn't great so I hope it won't happen too often. Very, very little combat yet, so I don't know about that. It seems decently complex but it seems to lack oomph.
One big issue so far, I can't change the key bindings using a pad, since it only shows kb/m prompts and changing those does nothing on pad. I'd really like to switch look and run to the bumpers instead of having them on the triggers.

Playing with the Japanese voices and they're objectively better but... I'm feeling that siren call of the dub I grew up with. Decisions decisions.
PS4 Pro disc version and one tiny glitch at bed time thats all so far for me.
One thing i do wish that i think happens in the dreamcast version was the QTE button prompts would flash. Here they are solid.

In order to buy things? You just pick them up off the shelf. Ryo will bring them over to the clerk if you decide to buy.
Have you been using the trigger button to zoom in on things? I know the game doesn't explicitly tell you that you can do that, but that's how you do most of your interaction with objects, zoom in. It's how you open all the drawers in the Hazuki home for instance.

Dojo flashback is only available on the first in game day. And it's actually not the scrolls, it's the framed message up high on the left wall when you're walking in.

I've never played Shenmue and barely knew it was a thing until I saw the Shenmue 3 announcement and the rerelease of 1 & 2. I'm so curious but I fear these won't hold up. Especially since I'm knee-deep in Yakuza right now.

Playing this for the first time and I'm kind of underwhelmed. I'm asking everyone around town about the black car and the voice acting is brutal. It's probably funny for nostalgia but it's starting to become unbearable for me.
