There, I've said it. I put it on pretty much all my food except the food that gets salsa but this thread isnt about Salsa (I'm Latino) so miss me with that unless your grandmother would roast peppers over a comal and grind everything in a molcajete.

Anyways back on topic Louisiana>>>>>Trappey's>>Frank's> Tabasco.

I don't know what took me so long to find out about Louisiana hot sauce, but damn, I'm using it regularly these days.

bottom shelf hot sauce debates

basically all the stuff you listed i consider on the same spectrum of "meh if nothing else is available"

that being said tabasco is better than frank's. frank's is junk

replace frank's with cholula in your life to advance to the next highest low tier of hot sauces

Nah. It franks xxtra for anything, tobasco for eggs and hasbrowns, the habanero tabasco if you want too, since it's fucking delicious. I don't even really like Louisiana, it just tastes like vinegar to me.

imo tapatio is not good
It's pretty much water. No heat. I buy it from time to time and am extra disappointed each and every time lol I never learn.

Tabasco is king (classic red) but green is good too if you can't handle some heat. Both are exceptional on a cuban steak sandwich. I carry a little bottle with me where ever I go.
I get if one doesn't like it due to the excessive vinegar-ness to it. I'm a huge fan of vinegar tho.

I like franks, trappeys, Tabasco and Texas Pete.

I don't know how y'all like cholula, I hate that stuff.

Between Tabasco and Louisiana? Tabasco loses every. damned. time.

But I'm not a fan of those vinegary tasting hot sauces.

I prefer Matouk's for the stuff you can buy from the stores.

Depends on the food.

Tabasco is perfect on certain things. Especially certain breakfast foods and most chili.

Chipotle Tabasco is the only way to eat Chipotle.

Yes.

Except Tobasco Chipotle. Love that shit.

Chaloua still my fav. It may not have the heat but the flavor is godly.

I use both for cooking ingredients, but just putting it on top of stuff? Tobasco is King.

Cholua and tapatio are both overrated.

I don't know much about hot sauce, now salsas I know about. You ever roast some serranos and grind onion, tomato, cilantro, etc with a mortar and pestle aka 'molcajete'? If so we can talk.

haven't tried that one yet actually. also just wanna note im not denigrating them out of elitism, to be honest i usually only keep cholula on hand cuz its readily available at my stores and i try out other different sauces as i see them around. i would like to try a lot more!

i only meant it as like, its like asking me if i would rather have a bud light or a coors light, i consider them relatively equally

Anything in the hot sauce aisle is better than Tobasco. This here is the one true queen of the hot sauce aisle

Ah ok I see we're youre coming from.

I actually like when people post examples so I can try them for myself. I absolutely love hot sauces and I'm always looking to expand my repertoire.

None of these are hot sauces? They're sweet at best, mostly water and vinegar. Baby's first hot sauce basically.

If there's no scorpion or reapers in your hot sauce... it can probably barely pass as a hot sauce.

I don't do hotsauce very often... but when I do, I definitely prefer a little bit of sriracha or Louisiana depending on the dish.
