So there's a moment where it seems like you can almost switch attachments like items in Souls/Bloodborne, as in totally on the fly. Pay attention to the bottom right screen HUD elements around here:
This being seemingly the first/tutorial area, From always does this after all, I bet these will be highly strategic later on. For example, to get around the shield guys you're already being taught that you need the axe attachment for example.
Some general thoughts:
1. Combat looks absolutely fucking sick and weighty, love that everything is basically a finishing move like in Tenchu.
2. Stealth looks pretty swift and smooth and derived from the obvious Tenchu lineage.
3. There better be HUD options, gotta get rid of those fugly green grapple point indicators.
4. I basically love everything I'm seeing here but that HUD in general is absurdly shit. I hope it's an early place holder of sorts. Then again, as long as I can turn those indicators off I'm cool.
5. Looks like jumping, sliding, crouching and wall hugging stealth moves are all fully in.
6. You know this game is gonna get real when the promo footage has them slitting a senior's throat.
The momentum and action here look fantastic gameplay wise, damn.
PS: At least large enemies have grapple points.
