Devil May Cry 5 Gamescom Coverage (Early impressions)

It's gotten rid of alot of things I hated about the previous games from what I see. The character seems to actually move much faster, jump isn't like playing Croc Legend Of The Gobbos, enemies seem to attack more often, enemies seem to get knocked out of reach far less. Just some of the things.
Don't bother. They have been salty about this game and Nero since the reveal trailer. Let them hate in peace.
He's a slightly more mature version than DMC3 Dante, yeah, Dante was definitely a lot more crazy and carefree, but he's the closest one that reminds me of DMC5 Nero of all Dante's incarnations.
I gotta say no? Like Dante, particularly in that game is kinda just diving head first into shit. Nero feels like he's being swept up into shit and is just kind of fed up with everything.

NG players should always start DMC on Hard and up.

Yeah, RB + Left stick (horizontally) + A for dodging.. it's insane, I really hoped they learned something from DmC.
Mainly played on Normal yeah, I started up some harder difficulty runs but never finished them. Might be because I never got too far on the harder difficulties, but it seemed like the AI didn't get much more aggressive on them. Might be wrong though.
I always considered the Credo auto-combos to be less stylish and more brutal.

Also, before we go suuuper crazy about a motorcycle devil arm, could that picture just be from a cutscene? I don't want to get my hopes up...
Lastly, about the devil arms breaking, I think people are getting a little over excited. It seems like they only break if you do the charge up B supermoves or if you get hit WHILE charging up said super moves. I don't think they break from just regular getting hit

DMCV will be at Inside Xbox. This could be either Nero gameplay, but a new trailer is definitely possible.

Are you referring to Nero? Him getting shorter hair is a result of people not being able to tell the difference between him and Dante in DMC4.
To be fair, DMC4 enemies never get as aggressive as NG enemies, but when they are given more health, hit hard and on DMD, their own DT, they become far more challenging.
That said, I'd love there to be the equivalent of Spider Ninjas in this games. Bayonettas Grace and Glory prove you can have hyper aggressive enemies in this style of action game.
I have to say, it's been quite a while since I last saw gameplay that looked boring because people still didn't know how to play the game. It's kind of refreshing.

It's some Persona 5 shit. Stylish as hell.
Damn, Nero seems way more mobile then he was in DMC4. Super excited at the direction they're going with this.
I just really don't like him as a character, his new design, or his playstyle. All I wanted was a new DMC game that takes full advantage of and expands on the gameplay style we had for Dante in DMC4. Now yet again he has to play backup to an asshole like Nero and some new guy who isn't Vergil.
It's just symptomatic of how this game seems to be aimed directly away from me, and it's really disappointing as someone who's been waiting for a full sequel for years now and got a tease of a full Vergil game with DMC4SE.
