im curious how likely is it that they either a) notice a copy is missing at the warehouse b) how hard do they act on it if they find one copy missing
The Labor Day holiday meant 7-days early wasn't really tenable for us as we didn't want reviews hitting prior to the holiday weekend.
And we needed to allow enough time for people to play the game, and write their reviews, so we couldn't go much earlier than 7 days out.

Just curious, what is the concern with reviews hitting before the holiday? Not as many eyes on it?
Makes sense. Any reason you guys didn't want the reviews to go up prior to the holiday? If anything, the hype for this game is off the charts and I'm assuming that it will probably hit anywhere between a 85-94 on Metacritic.

I want this to happen...but at the same time I dont if it really is that big of a spoiler.
I want to see it because I'm spending $200 and I will inspect it asap upon purchase to ensure it isn't damaged or has any QC issues.
The God of War Stone Mason edition was a fucking disaster.

definitely less traffic on websites beginning of and during a 3-day holiday weekend.
Superhero spoilers? Lol powerful guy gets beat up, looks to past memories for inspiration, overcomes against all odds, gathers more support from ordinary people who have extraordinary ability to dodge police, surveillance, and enemy combatants. Saves kidnapped teammate after they are captured by rogue agent, has dramatic and heartwarming moment with internally conflicted villain, saves the city. Boy am I nervous about finding out the story beats to Spider-Man.

Imagine knowing the ending to Arkham City before you played it. Would be less impactful.

This feels extremely similar to the conversation around Infinity War spoilers. There must be some genuine spoilers surrounding this game. I guess I need to be extra careful. I have held off of all footage since E3. Must stay strong!!
I guess. I knew the whole story of Arkham Knight cuz I watched it on YouTube, then I bought and played it and still loved it.
Haven't been keeping a close eye on this game as much as I would've liked, but I just watched a bunch of trailers and yeah, this is going to be amazeballs.

There are a lot of superhero stories that are usually pretty straight forward but there are a lot of ones with surprising depth and twists, Spider-Man: Homecoming has a cool twist, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 borrows from an essential Spidey comic arc, Avengers: Infinity War is filled with surprises (granted, comic fans were expecting some of them), and more. I do expect there to be some twists and turns in this game, only time will tell what they are.

For a superhero story? It's extremely by the book. There's nothing wrong with it. It's impossible for it to be good or bad because it's been done 10,000 times. I guarantee you this game will have an ending we've seen a thousand times.

Im referring to the Arkham Knight being who everyone thought it was and the ending when you get 100%. Neither of which would bother anyone by seeing early.
knowing what happens doesnt make the experience bad but any twists and turns that the story takes will mean nothing for someone that is into the story.
best to leave the spoilers out of here even if you or someone else doesnt care, PM is better for that.
