Got it in the Humble Bundle. Its very very mediocre. Especially compared to 3D Mario games. The movement is so god damn janky. Its ok on PC and consoles without modern Nintendo-platformers...but on Switch..naah.
I loved a hat in time, I preferred the game design to Mario because of how focused the world's felt. Can't wait for more content!
With the attitude these devs had when responding to switch port requests I'm not sure I WANT to get it anymore...

Absolutely loved this game when it launched on PC but didn't *quite* finish it. I'll definitely be picking it up for Switch!
Bought on steam only because the devs said no to a switch port.... I would have rather waited and played on Switch.

Well I guess I'll finally give it a shot. The game looks charming, cute as heck, and I can use another 3D platformer for my Switch. There aren't exactly many options at the moment

What pissed me off about this isn't that the game wasn't on a Nintendo platform, but they heavily marketed it towards Nintendo fans and were like "lol go fuck yourselves." I don't think these guys really treat their audience well.
I've stated before on GAF what I wasn't interested in Hat in Time. I knew Mecha back on a Mario fangaming forum a decade ago, and he had quite the reputation back then.
Toppled with doxxing MaxofS2D, keeping Jontron in, and their bad PR, I don't believe he's changed much.

This is what I firmly believe to be keeping MHW from appearing on the Switch. Same thing too with SFV (It's a Sony special deal).
Honestly, that's why I won't be buying any of their games.
I'll be buying it, just to show my support of their entry in the platform.
Yeah this team has been pretty shitty to Nintendo fans overall. Game looks like something I'd absolutely adore but I'll have to think long and hard about a purchase. There are hundreds of great Nindie devs that respect the Switch userbase that deserve my cash.
Wow this team's PR is awful, I bought the PC version and started playing it yesterday since it was never coming to Switch.

Sympathizers who support bigots, sure. All decent companies worth supporting will absolutely "bow down" to the perfectly reasonable request of not including voice acting from a Nazi in their game.

Personal opinion. Many people didn't seem to care since the game has sales and is now coming to the Switch. Internet pitchforks don't always work.
eh, Id rather have honest people on twitter even if it is PR. Dude was probably getting tons of tweets every day about it. Hardly seems like something to boycott the game over.
The trailer made me want to play now. Is it good on the X? Might buy now and double dip if I really like it.

Why are people complaining about it being ported? Yes they said they wouldn't, after being endlessly railed on by people portbegging day and night in not very nice ways. Their reaction was understandable.

From what I remember, most of the folk were fairly nice with asking for a Switch port and, out of all of the people you can port beg a game from, why wouldn't you do it from the developers themselves? It shows an audience for your game. If anything, the dude should've been happy about it as opposed to being rather rude
They had people constantly calling them names for not porting it, i've seen it myself. I wouldn't be happy with that kind of thing either.
Oh of course there were some rotten eggs in there too but most weren't. They had quite a few curt and rude responses for people asking nicely too so it's not as if this is unfair or coming from nowhere
