You don't get to tell people that decide to buy the game that they are supporter of JonTron's ideas either.
You can add the lead dev having a bad rep for
internet crimes as well, and decide not to buy the game.
But there should be no moral obligation to remove their livelihood from a bad person.
Even someone with an actual criminal past doesn't make a worse sausage. It's just that, usually, it's not on the internet.
Too bad for the OP.

I cannot find that interview with Rocket League devs that said both Psyonix and Panic Button worked together on the port to rewrite parts of Unreal Engine for it to work on the Switch.
Anyway, looks like someone finally dug into the engine and is working some magic to make it happen there!
Several quotes from A Hat In Time devs from 2017 before the "will not be coming" tweet:
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...ould_be_appearing_on_the_switch_in_the_future
"Humble and Gears now have access to Nintendo Switch devkits. Unfortunately we won't have time to touch the devkits for a while now that we're SO close to release (October 5th). Additionally, we'd like to remind everyone that there are NO PLANS for additional releases until we make any kind of official announcement."
https://mynintendonews.com/2017/10/...t-sure-whether-they-can-bring-game-to-switch/
"We have Switch devkits now, that's step 1. Step 2 is figuring out how to run the game on it. There's a big chance we can't get it to work"
This shows that they always have been trying, and that the "no" announcement was likely to calm down the people that were asking for a port ceaselessly (
even if it backfired).
