Watch that asus blower style card that was leaked be the cheapest model out there by up to $100.
Am I the only one who thinks you cant just change pricing at the last minute? A TON of thought goes into pricing not just "oh shit people are mad ok lets lower it"
Then you should hope for $1200 to be real, I think that would really help with availability ;)
Don't do that. Seriously, multi-GPU for gaming is dead.
This used to be the case due to the cooling. But it might change with the 2080ti.So is it true reference cards generally aren't as good as third party?
Tis a jest.A 1070ti is a really great card and very affordable. I agree with your point about ray tracing and go one further and say that no games will even use it until the next new set of cards.

You're trying really hard to justify these prices. What is wrong with you?
Shouldn't that money be going into a ... car?I just got a $7,000 check from my insurance company for a totaled car.....this is gonna be tempting. Might just buy a 1080 ti and a new cpu instead to take advantage of the price drop, though.
Where are people gonna be buying their discounted 1080/1080ti's from anyway?

Does it look like garbage for you
It seems incredibly likely that the 2080 Ti will retail at 1000$, most likely 1000$+Still pretty happy with my GTX 1070, but curious to see what they got.
Are any of these $1000+ price rumors rooted in reality though? Seems pretty fucking steep, even for many enthusiasts I'd say
Especially when you're beholden to investors. How pissed would they be to find out you ditched howevermuch in profits because some people on Resetera were a little angry?Am I the only one who thinks you cant just change pricing at the last minute? no, I force source quality
$1000 price tag for the 2080 Ti has been shown in leaked product listings. I think the even steeper price of $1200-$1300 is a newer price that appeared on another supposed leaked product listing. But then I just saw another rumor that Nvidia might have changed their prices last-minute due to a lot of negative reactions from all the leaks this past week, so we'll just have to wait!Still pretty happy with my GTX 1070, but curious to see what they got.

yeah wow, what a joke of a site."$699/$1,099" -> "No, wait, $749/$1,149" -> "Actually, we know nothing" is certainly one way to piss away all your recently-earned goodwill.
They didn't and the PS2 ended up outselling the PS3 that holiday.Immediately thought of this. People were outraged but still bought every single one of them.
I can't wait for all the bad press they receive if this turns out to be the pricing. It would also make the decision making a lot easier.
lolThe 2080 stands for 20% of yearly income going into video cards, 80% everything else.
Am I reading this right?
VideoCardz.com fans the flames for months and months, publishing 'insider information' about the next gen cards from Nvidia (and even tells us at the very last minute what the prices will be) only to tell us a few minutes before the actual launch that we really shouldn't speculate.
WTF?
post of the day right here. Yeah go spend $1100-1200 on two 1080 Ti's.
Here's hoping we get another one like that today.

At some point the prices will just be equal to the numbers on the card.
RTX 3080 $
It actually makes sense, I understand he is building a rendering rig. More cards scale linearly.post of the day right here. Yeah go spend $1100-1200 on two 1080 Ti's.
It's almost that time again for Jenson to grace the stage with his leather jacket and constantly interrupt the engineers by trying to explain the tech himself.
