Just completed Evergarden.
Took me around 15 hours.
I confess I shed a tear at the end, touching stuff to which unfortunately I can relate too well myself.
Great game and overall experience.

Im really enjoying Suzy Cube. Is like Mario 64 but on my iPhone. Great controls for this game, levels are fun, lots of secrets, Noodlecake sky high level of polish. Im very late but Suzy Cube might be the best 3D platformer on iOS

Edit: and now Oddmar has finished downloading the extra stuff :D

Highly recommended, it misses only iCloud sync and better iPhone X optimization (I suspect the real time shadows are the cause, because on iPad Air, pictured, where shadows are way worse....the problem doesn't exist).

Feedback has been noted! iCloud Sync is a thing we've heard from a number of sources, and iPhone X optimization is good to know about (since we haven't been testing on an actual X device.) They're on the list!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it - and found the ending poignant and touching.

Barbearian is growing on me quite a lot... the more i play the better it gets. And it feels like i just completed the tutorial. That greatness awaits.

Has anyone here played Sdorica (at least to a certain extent)?

I was super into Sdorica for the first 2-3 months, the second longest I've stuck to a mobile/gatcha game.

But then the fatigue and daily upkeep starting to catch up to me and lost interest very fast. It sucks too since I was invested in it's story artwork and music.

Not really a puzzle fan (i barely never finish those) but this one is striking. What a novel and catchy concept. Wont preorder since its a mess but will buy as soon as its out. Just a week!

Why is it a mess? I mean, I never preordered a game before (The Elder Scrolls being the exception but it isn't out yet) and I don't know how it works.

This also means controller support for iOS at the same time but it could be a while before we see it though. Could be shown at Apple's event too.

Sometimes you'll get the app you pre-ordered after everyone else. It doesn't unlock exactly on time.

I played a bit. Seemed pretty good. Ended up deleting it to make room for another game at the time but might have to give it another shot at some point.

But then the fatigue and daily upkeep starting to catch up to me and lost interest very fast. It sucks too since I was invested in it's story artwork and music.

I liked the art style and the story. What killed it for me is the lack of auto mode. The game play loop got so repetitive and it was soooo slow. I like to play while I'm on the computer or watching netflix.

Thanks guys.
I had the game sitting on my iPhone for ages....back in the days I tried it briefly (blown away by art, polish and music) but never really played it.
Started it 2 days ago....but I really hate gatcha games with a passion so I was asking....
Anyway, for some reason I endured through the first 2 chapters despite the dumb story and the fact that was dumb easy...but then chapter 3 got me in...story became somewhat interesting (with a lot of more cutscenes and characters) and finally the very cool mechanics kicked in needing you to control the board and prepare specific attacks for specific enemies (still easy but I started dying).
Also...I skipped totally the gatcha system still using the initial or locked characters...and it's pretty fun (and gorgeous).
I'll see how it goes...

Oddmar... eh... a video before or after every level? Seriously? This game sets a new bar for platformers, well, for iOS games in general. Most polished game i ever seen? Maybe

I wish Apple would be a bit more constant pursuing indie and AAA developers.
It's better than years ago, but recently all the top indie games or efforts are going to the Switch. iOS is second or third or in general last choice.

What's the best idle game / clicker game?

I don't mind spending money to buy.
I dunno about best, but Realm Grinder is a large time sink that can give you months of enjoyment. Having played it, its fairly similar to other idle clickers, but it has multiple tiers of unlocks, 3 tiers of in game currency that reduce costs over time, and in general is far more satisfactory to 100% than any other. The gist is:
-You play as 1 of 6 factions in the beginning. After a couple of abdications, soft resets, you gain access to another 3. After 1 or 2 reincarnations, hard resets, you get access to another 2.
-Each faction has a certain skillset and toolset to allow coin farming and faction coin farming. The factions are based on Idle or Active gameplay, with a 3 to 3 split. The later factions are neutral, which are a balance between idle and active. The further later 2 factions are either idle or active.
-Beyond this, there are excavations, which are trinkets that either are part of the unlock process for factions, or collectables. Way later they are of use.
-After 30 or 40 reincarnations you also have access to a mercenary faction, which allows you to use any of the faction ipgrades to your choosing.
-There also is a research portion to the game. Specific factions have exclusive research upgrades alongside the regular ones, and research unlocks require a lot of experimentation.
-Finally there are achievements. These achievements have upgrade powers or are just collectable, in varying degrees. These take the most of your time to unlock.

I am explaining this horribly, but I think you get the gist. Fuck tons of gameplay layers, a lot of mix and match experimentation depensing on how you want to play, and some of the most satisfaction to come from an idle clicker. It has 3 permanent upgrades that cost roughly 40 or so euros, and I honestly did not mind it.

Rome: Total War has been updated and now works on iPhone (Universal App):
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/rome-total-war/id1106831630?mt=8

Thanks i'll take a look. Just something to kill itme while at my boring office job and dont feel like Azur Lane.

If you want something that looks like a clicker but feels way different and expands into something else entirely, I'd recommend checking out A Dark Room:

Man I have been having so much fun with Mobile lately. In the last two months I have bought:
Vignettes
Hexologic
Isoland 2
Returner 77
The Guides
Homo Machina
Lumino City
VVVVVV
House of Da Vinci
Arkanoid VS Space Invaders
Gorogoa
Part Time UFO
The Room Old Sins
YS Chronicles 1

Some are new, some are old, but all are great. I have come to realize that paying 5 or 6 euros for small titles that take less than a day are perfectly fine experiences, and mobile really does have a place in the gaming world. Premium priced packages really are the way to go, and IAP bull needs to get culled. Stuff like Asphalt 9, trials frontier, or even stuff from King would really be nice if they charged 15-20 Euros as a proper game without IAPs.

Have you played on mobile before or is this your first time diving into mobile gaming?

Besides premium games, the only F2P model I approve of is the "free trial + unlock full game or remove ads". There are rare freemium games I enjoy like Clash Royale and the OG Shadow Fight 2, but usually if it has a timer or energy or multiple currencies, I instantly delete it

Some other must-plays would be:
- Sorcery series
- The Room series
- 80 Days
- A Dark Room
- Device 6
- Dark Echo
- Dream Quest
- 868-Hack
- Card Thief
- Card Crawl
- Tiny Bubbles
- Duet
- Solitairica
- Six Match
- Hero Emblems
- Reigns 1 & 2
- Pan-Pan
- LineLight
- 99 Bricks
- Helsing's Fire
- Icebreaker (by Nitrome)
- Age of Rivals
- Snakebird
- Ultra Sharp
- Swapperoo
- Ending
- Frost (by Kunabi Bros)

Actually been gaming on my phone for years now, just only recently though I have been able to afford purchasing games on google play. I own some other games, some listed by you and some others you haven't mentioned, but thanks for the recommendations, its gonna be great to save up and buy some of the more expensive stuff. And yeah, the free trial stuff are mostly okay. The faraway series, Opus games, Slime Pizza and some others are all in my surprisingly neat little games list. Also I dunno if it counts fir anything, but my play games level is 40.

To me, it seems like game releases are more dead than the past three years. I haven't seen a single new big indie or AAA game released this entire year. Maybe Fortnite and PUBG if they came out this year officially.

Bought Death Squared since i needed a new puzzler and... incredibly polished. Its almost a AAA product with talked voices, incredible graphics, amazing controls. Gives a Portal vibe. Gameplay so far... not easy but nor frustrating either. A good balance. Basically you have to move two characters that have to interact with each other to get to the finish point alive. Controls are incredibly tight. And there are two people speaking while you play and the male voice is kind of fun. The female reminds me of GLaDOS. And all this while a premium app without shenaningans. And for 3$

Tropico (for iPad) is one of the only big premium (no IAP) releases I can think of.

Thumper, Six Ages, The Eyes of Ara, Battleheart 2, Teen Titans Go Figure, Feist, Lichtspeer, The Room Old Sins, Dandara, Jydge, Pako 2, Florence, Alto's Odyssey, Armello, Candleman, Fortnite, PUBG, The Pillars of the Earth, and Project Highrise all released this year, and Donut County comes out on the 28th
