For me Moana, Elsa, Anna, and Elena are official.

They've had meet and greets and Elana has a regular spot in Princess Fairytale Hall.

I remember the days when my daughter was obsessed with Disney Princeses. In fact her first movie she saw in the theathers was Frozen. Damn was the world un prepairded for how insanly popular that got. Finding Frozen anything for the X-Mas was a mission.

Now she's into anime and wants nothing to do with Disney.

We'll see. I don't mind that she was into it, but I guess now she's going through a phase were she thinks all Disney is for babies. She's totally grown out of all her princess dresses. And I must've seen every episode of Sofia the First like 6 times and watched Frozen once a week. That I don't miss.

Even Lego has the Frozen sets labeled separate from the Princess sets. It'll be a while before they get into the line up. I can't wait to see Moana as part of it. I'm loving all the new ones, even more so than the princesses of the 90's.

Punished Esmeralda - a princess robbed of her crown

The corporate lore behind this is amazing. Giselle being denied princess status.

By the way, watch Enchanted. Best movie Disney made in the post reinassance, pre-revival era.

Anyway, we need a princess buddy comedy road trip movie.

I would gladly participate in a Disney OT. There would probably be more appeal for it than a Princess OT, as much as I like this one.
i made one in the community section a few months back but barely anyone has posted in it :/
and there you are.

------

Princess facts:
Aurora and Elsa are the only true blonde Disney Princesses. Cinderella and Anna have strawberry-blonde hair while Rapunzel's a blonde by the sun's magic, but is a natural brunette by genetics. Elsa's also the only blue-eyed Disney Princess to not have red or reddish hair. However, taking into consideration that Elsa's hair is blonde because of her ice powers, if she had never had her powers, her hair probably would've been either dark brown like her mother's or strawberry-blonde like her father and sister's. Also, Aurora's golden hair color is most likely due to the Gift of Beauty, rather than genetics. Aurora's father has black hair and her mother has dark blonde hair, so it's unknown whether Aurora's original hair color was a shade of blonde.

I wish there was some kind of 6-inch Disney Princess toyline with good articulation, kinda like what Mattel did with DC Super Hero Girls.

Or just a general Disney 6-inch toyline, really. Only real thing right now like that is the Disney Toybox (based on Disney Infinity's artstyle) figure line at the Disney Store...which is only now getting actual Disney characters, and not just Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. Vanellope is the only Disney Princess in that toy line, but I have no idea when she'll be releasing...but I definitely wanna get her and Ralph. Give me the casual princesses as figures, too!

The best thing we have is Figma Elsa, but she's expensive.

I've not no interest in seeing Ralph 2 whatsoever... but those princess bits looks like they're totally going to be worth checking it out once it's on tv at some point.

Maybe we'll see what is essentially a Pocket Princesses movies if Ralph 2 proves the formula can work.

(Yeah, I just wanted an excuse to post some Pocket Princesses)

Please continue finding excuses to do so whenever possible.

I'm a bit ashamed to only found out this OT right now.
Also totally unbiased but for me Rapunzel is the best princess.

I wish that I could have completed a Disney Princess figure collection of Disney Infinity characters. We got like, halfway there and Belle was even coming.

Slight off-topic, but how many movies do we currently have, that are considered the modern live action remakes? Seven?

Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella, Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Christopher Robin?

Elena? Then wouldn't you have to include Sofia as well?

On a side note, is the Disney Fairies franchise just dead now? They haven't released anything in ages, and I remember in another thread someone mentioned the studio that was behind them was being broken up or something.

They should just forget about the Fairies franchise and incorporate Tinker Bell in the princess line-up again. Aren't they doing that live action movie with Tinker Bell and Peter Pan anyway?

Not that accuracy is ever a part of these collaborations, but when Tinker Bell was part of the lineup, did they just make her regular human sized when they put the princesses together on merchandise? Because otherwise she just doesn't work with them, unless you're strictly talking branding.

I'm kind of surprised Disney would have to pay for Amy Adam's likeness for Giselle when the movie itself has a fully animated version. It's not like they would base it on her live action likeness.

First one reminded me of the scene in Enchanted when Giselle summons NYC animals to help clean and it's all rats, pigeons, and roaches.

Second one reminds me of the Stitch trailers where he'd interfere in someone else's movie.

They were going to make a live action movie version of Belle and the Beast for Infinity?

I wondered at the time why they didn't bother releasing at least some kind of storyline/deluxe Infinity set for Princesses. I mean they had Marvel and Star Wars, why not go the other direction? So much wasted potential there. I doubt they even do the Infinity-style figures like they have at the Disney Store now (and which are crap, btw, my son broke off not-Infinity Black Panther's leg like it was nothing).

I'm watching Cinderella (2014) for the first time, and just realized she is played by Lily James (always thought it was a Fanning girl who portrayed her), who had that striking resemblance to the girl in Twin Peaks with her role in Baby Driver. I really like her in the role as Ella, and I actually had no idea her name was Ella, pretty clever. I'm just an hour in, going to the ball in her fancy dress, carriage and glass shoes. So nice she turned out to have a fairy godmother, with this despicable so called stepmother. I think this is the Disney live action remake I have liked the most so far, hopefully it does the landing well.

Hmm... I've never seen these, though my targets are currently resetting the toy aisle. How big are they? I see they have the "Spider-Ham" articulation of absolutely nothing in the legs, so hopefully they're pretty small. Still much better than the current Disney Princess line. Though that Ursula is nightmare inducing, and that isn't Ariel's "friend."

They're about 5-inches tall. Here's some video reviews I found on YouTube:

Probably my OCD but they have Belle on the packaging in blue, green, and pink but not the yellow she actually comes in, which seems weird.

It's cool that they're promoting comics collections (I assume from the Disney Princess comics) with these.
