You drive a Porsche. It makes sense you like other things that haven't changed in decades!

ohh sick burn etc

Why is the fob a weird shape out of interest?

Hahaha, I'll give you that one, fair play.

It's meant to somewhat resemble the shape of a Porsche. Actually pretty cool in the flesh.

I think now that Alonso is gone, we can and will see McLaren progress..

His car out-driving joke will be exposed again..

And Kimi has a book!?!?! I just preordered the English version from amazon and it'll be out on October 18

Yes.

Alonso has been holding them back all this time. Time to run free.

And why not? Can you name a team where Alonso actually helped progress or go forward

He's simply a destructive factor in any team he joined and that's a fact..

Well he ain't designing any chassis or engines or gearboxes, so the blame of McLaren being shit since he went back can't be his.

Alonso the reason why McLaren have had numerous technical issues. I've heard it all now. So many pathetically bitter people. Plenty of reasons why you could dislike him without having to make them up.

Haven't they put that fraud Peter P in charge of the chassis department (as well as aero) after they fired Goss and Morris?

McLaren are fucked!

Key's first input into their car will be 2020's if Marko makes a deal. Next season's car will be one of the worst, driven by one of the worst driver pairings in McLaren's history.

If Williams do some sort of technical deal with Mercedes, then McLaren will be the slowest team on the grid.

I'm looking forward to it.

Jean-Eric Vergne has been subject to an approach from a Formula 1 team regarding a race seat for the 2019 season.

Verstappen / Vergne - Red Bull
Gasly / Norris - Toro Rosso

Actually he only talked about out driving. The only team which got worse after Fernado left was Renault - at least the first time.
Well I mean they did go to shit because for starters the 09 rules change and secondly because ING pulled their sponsorship because of Crashgate. I'm not supposed to level that at Alonso and use Flavio as the fall guy, but who really knows what the heck Alonso knew about that one.

Why do you insist on repeatedly posting quotes without giving a source? Is it because you think the source is poor, and will lead to you or your post being ridiculed? Is it because there is no source, and you're making the quote up? Or is it for some other reason? I'm genuinely curious.
While I can't answer that question for him, and I'm quite curious myself, I can provide the source! https://www.crash.net/f1/news/903485/1/vergne-approached-over-f1-race-seat-2019

Outside of that bad 09 (which I wouldn't blame Alonso for it, of course) they were stable despite the change of ownership after Alonso left the team.

Don't believe in posting web page links.

According to Mark Hughes Toto Wolff has been on a mission trying to get Vandoorne out of McLaren in the quest of securing Ocon a seat.

But I thought it was all Villeneuve says so?

With this Toto reveal, The Marketing Man confirming talks with Ocon and McLaren refusing to confirm their 2019 driver lineup the other day, something is going down.

Maybe they'll let him have a final home GP before dumping his ass?

While a fairytale return for Kubica has obvious appeal, his many supporters may realise this scenario is wishful thinking. In the unlikely event that Stroll is prepared to break contracts at both Williams and Force India's ends to get his son into a more competitive car immediately, the simpler arrangement would be to slot Mercedes junior Esteban Ocon into a Mercedes-powered Williams.

A mid-season swap is the less likely outcome, but Ocon's position for 2019 looks like the most under threat. As with the enforced departure of the improving Carlos Sainz Jnr's from Renault, this would be a harsh verdict on Ocon, a driver who's made great gains this year.

Well, not all the press and paddock people think so.

And that's how Alonso exactly destroys teams.. 2007 is not yesterday, but it's hard to forget his disgusting role in the whole thing. Then we have the crashgate, and then the whole Ferrari meltdown until "he decided" to leave the team. His second McLaren stint is a frikin joke and a joy to watch although I love the team, but this driver doesn't deserve a top car after all what he did.

He lost 2007
He lost 2010
He lost 2012

He never lost a WDC because of the car, it was always his actions/driving errors, but somehow we only hear that he made those cars capable of fighting for the championships.. "great" drivers don't wreck teams and lose WDCs as much as he did

Yet he's "the best driver on the grid." He's a great driver yes, but he's no Prost. And yes...I say that knowing full well that Prost is a political douche.

That's cute coming from a Kimi fan.

He kept the championship 2012 alive, while the car was the third fastest, behind the McLaren and RedBull, at some point fighting with the Lotus, Sauber and Williams. He didn't throw away nothing 2012, in fact, Alonso is the reason why the championship was carried out until the last race. That season is potentially one of the cleanest and best driven over a year by any driver ever. Saying driving errors were responsible for losing 2012 is a joke. But you must be still bitter how week after week Alonso destroyed Raikkonen back in the Ferrari days.

Sure, 2010 Alonso made mistakes, but so did his rivals. And once again he didn't have the fastest car. It's funny because Ferrari has currently the fastest car, but both drivers are not capable of turning it into consistent results, especially Raikkonen.
