Anyone watching this? I'm 4 episodes in and I'm finding it pretty entertaining.

It's clearly from Seth Rogan's production crew what with the gross out scenes and dick jokes, but the cast really sells it and after every episode I'm really interested in seeing what happens next.

futureman-st-600x338-v1.jpg.jpeg

Janitor Josh Futturman leads a pretty boring life, spending much of his time playing video games when he's not working. Things change, though, when he beats a video game that the rest of the world has given up on, thinking it was unbeatable. After he defeats the game, mysterious visitors from the future appear. They put the world in danger, and Josh is the only person who can save it. He assembles a team to assist him as he travels through time, completing various missions as he does whatever he can to try to save Earth from the extraterrestrial visitors.

I binge watched it this week and I loved it. Wolf absolutely kills me at times. Favorite episode is the Christmas dinner at the house, think it's episode 7 or 8?

I was just about to edit the OP to stress that the guy who plays Wolf is amazing. This is like a star making role. He's incredibly funny.

I enjoyed the first episode. I'll probably go back for more once I'm caught up on some other stuff. I do love me some comedic Keith David.

I watched the first two episodes. Does it get better?

It's pretty clever in how things ripple out from changes made in the first two episodes. That said if you don't like the tone of the show from the first episodes it's probally not for you, which I understand. It's not going to be for everyone.

I binged it this weekend and ended up really enjoying it. The way they developed Wolf, came as a complete surprise to me, absolutely incredible the growth he went through.

I never knew bendy straws could be used that way, interesting.

Wolf has so many standout moments for me. Him becoming a chef, let alone a master chef was completely unexpected and an absolute delight. Him with the AI in James Cameron's house, not to mention learning basic Navi was giving me stitches. Then his entire late 80's arc was astounding. I feel so sorry for that commercial dog and its owner, jeez.

I thought the first episode was trash, but it got much better, quick, for me. It knows its junk food, and plays to its strengths. Time travel and pop culture yuks and long established set-ups pay off well. The topical humour bits are also some of its stronger moments.

First two episodes felt like lazy writing and a low budget effort. The comedy is pretty lowest common denominator.

Finding it hard to muster desire to watch the rest.

I was almost going to make a thread. I think it's a pretty good show and there is one character that is at least worth watching the show for.
(It's wolf)

If you don't like the show, shut your rat hole!

Glad someone made a thread cause I was too lazy too. My SO and I have been watching this and we've both really been enjoying it. Honestly I'd love to binge it because it seems like the perfect show to do that with, but my SO wants to watch just an episode a night. We just watched the Christmas dinner episode and it was great. I'm really hoping there is some more time travel though.

This is one of the most "bingable" shows I've ever seen. Every episode ends in a twist that makes you want to start the next one immediately.

I watched the first two. It's in that weird category of not the greatest or anything I would want to recommend or in depth discuss, but good enough that I will finish and it will not be a chore.

Helps that it's Science Fiction, I have a higher degree of tolerance for lesser quality works when it's Horror or SF genre fare.

Yes, I had been looking to see if there was an OT for this. I watched the first 4 episodes since last night and like it. Like the humor, like the cast, hope that it continues over the remaining episodes.

Just finished episode 8 and damn this show is such a welcome surprise. Vice-principals is my number 1 comedy of the year but this is number 2. Chef Wolf is best Wolf.

The show is dumb

But I binged all of it. It's just the dumb enough to keep you entertain and not ask much of you, you know

Yes! I went to look for an OT last week and thought I must've been searching wrong cuz I didn't find one. Today I was going to make this exact thread.

Just finished the season today. What a surprise gem of a show. Wolf is definitely the MVP, but Josh and tiger held their own.

First two episodes I was meh on, but by episode 7 I firmly consider it one of the best shows of the year.bery few missteps.

I watched the first two episodes. Does it get better?
Yes. I was meh on the first two episodes. Too much reliance on 'potty' humor. Not that that necessarily leaves, but there's less reliance on it and there's genuine character development.

Edit: I'm sorry, but the few people who mentioned that the first two shows are indicative of the rest of the show are friggen insane. I'm a convert and would have posted exactly what other people did who said they didn't like it after 2 episodes.

It gets better, sharper writing, jokes and characters. Some actually great character development.

As has been repeated in nearly every post, Wolf basically steals the show.

Dude's pretty good as Donnie in Preacher, as well.

I was actually very meh on the first couple episodes, but I think it improves a lot as it goes on. Josh gets better as he gets more confident and Tiger and Wolf get better (and funnier) as they visit more time periods.

The James Cameron episode was especially amazing. Derek Wilson is the star of the show.

I haven't finished all the episodes yet. I feel like this show's strength is in the little lines that aren't huge jokes.

"Everything that was in the Biotic Wars game was true. The Biotics. The Wars."

"You know how your little brother Michael has been looking for a dance? Well wait until he sees this! Actually, I'll describe it to you."

I really liked Jerri, and I thought her actress did a great job. I hope they maybe play a little bit more with the idea that the Resistance isn't as good as they seem.

Ok finished the whole season. This show it terrible. It is so terrible you can't stop watching and laughing. Would recommend. Also they did a much better job of inserting 80s references than most other shows that try to play to nostalgia

I thought the first episode was really, really, really bad. second episode was kinda bad. so many attempts at crude humor that just fell flat... didn't touch it for a week, but just went back and watched 3, 4, and 5. the show definitely gets better. actual story progression. I dunno how it's gonna play it, but I'm it probably could have pretty easily been a 100 minute movie instead of a 400 minute series though

Fantastic show. Just got done binging the whole thing with my wife in one day, and we initially only planned to watch one episode!

Wolf's eight years of development was riveting.

Finished the season last night. Really enjoyed the ending, it mostly wrapped stuff up and I'm satisfied with it. That being said I really hope we get another season.

Episode 2's Cosby stuff killed me. When that dude went to the window and was like "It's the police! But they're beating up white people!" and everybody cheered, I fucking LOST it. lol

I enjoy me some Eliza Coupe.

Only watched the first episode so far, but I enjoyed what I saw, even if it feels a little "lighter" than the majority of the shows I've been watching lately.

Just finished watching this. I really didn't like the first few episodes. Actually, I was going to drop it but episode 5 got me to keep watching. I liked it, and I usually don't like Seth Rogan's style of comedy.
