"You fuckers hate the Regi raids? HOW ABOUT THIS?!"
Me to, I'm just at 45 candies, will take me whole year. Biggest problem for me is that there are no many Magikarps around :(
I've been doing Magikarp raids, hatching eggs, and have gotten lucky seeing Magikarp in places. It also helps I live near the beach so I can get some luck there. But yeah, it's a slog.Me to, I'm just at 45 candies, will take me whole year. Biggest problem for me is that there are no many Magikarps around :(

I hope this fixes my field research reward stack bug.New update is rolling out to Android now, should come to iOS within the next day or two. Official changelog:
Looks like some nice QoL improvements, especially on the Friends screen. No more clicking through all 100+ friends to see which I've sent gifts to already!
Here is the full APK teardown from The Silph Road: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRo...ilph_roads_indepth_apk_teardown_of_v01152_is/
The update includes more code for the Pokestop Submissions system, the addition of Meteor Mash charge move and potential EX Raid Pass sharing(!).
Yeah, I just got back into it about a month ago.I assume you started playing recently within last month or 2? Cause, there has been 3 Magikarp events now. heh
I'm sure we might get another down the road.
Why do you think this will be a quest?"Catch X Unown" for Celebi sounds like a right nightmare, never even seen one. Like I wasn't even sure if they spawned in the wild, was thinking it was only at special events like Go Fest.
I was referring back to the speculations on the last page. Why do you think this will be a quest?
Might be a quest for the upcoming Japan event only.

Anything that will deliberately "stall" hardcore players will brickwall casual ones. There are still tons of average players working on Mew. It's never going to balanced for hardcore play since it's just not reasonable.
Yeah, I went through the Mew quest-line pretty quickly.
Gonna be a hard balance to stall people without making it frustrating.
Well my problem is the magicarp. I already evolved one 2 years ago. So I had to start from scratch, and since then there are 3 gens watering down the encounter rate. So after about 60 km or so I have about 210 candies. I'll get there in about 2 weeks.
you also have to catch 50 pokemon with a berry during that step, so plenty of chances to practice.but I worry about the excellent curveball throw in the next step...im so bad
If you go out at night or very early in the morning getting 10 ghosts will be easy.My gf got a ditto the same day she got to 5/8.
That was 2 months ago. She still hasnt gotten 10 ghosts. Shes gotten 4 dittos since
My Rhydon has been stuck at a gym for two days now. Niantic really needs to just do an auto-kick after like 8 hours or however many you need to get 50 coins
This is so dumb.
What do the Pokemon levels mean? If it's a lvl 20, does it mean it can't reach 30/35/40 Pokemon CP?
I have a 100 IV Shellgon but it's level 20. Wondering if I should evolve it.
Pokemon can level 1 through level 40. Any Pokemon can be powered up to level 40 (assuming a trainer level of at least 38; below that you are capped to two levels above your current trainer level). The position of the white dot on the semicircle on top of the Pokemon information screen is a graphical representation of the Pokemon's level in comparison to the maximum level you can currently obtain. What do the Pokemon levels mean? Generally Pokemon appearing in any tier raids are Pokemon that are otherwise difficult to encounter, and are usually relevant to research tasks in some way. Increased Shiny odds are also a thing that have been observed, yes. Also what is the point of the level 1 raids like Magikarp and Charmanders? Is there a high chance of getting a shiny or something?
Very low chance of getting a shiny but decent for Candy and getting one with good IV'sThanks :)

It's a weird bug related to a legacy issue. While the Pokémon level cap is 40, for a long time it was impossible to level past 39 without using a 3rd party app or certain tricks, because the option to power up would disappear. The power up option still disappears at level 39 to this day, though now it will return once the player hits level 38. My guess is they never actually solved the root cause of the bug, so they hacked together a fix that forces the button to reappear at level 38.Confused about something. I'm trainer level 37, and just recently maxed out my highest level Pokemon. Before when I would max them, the stardust counter and power up button remained but was faded out, and it would read "trainer level to low". Now my Pokemon are maxed out and that button is completely absent from the screen. Is level 37 the highest trainer level you need to be too max out a Pokemon? Or did an update change it and now I can't see the button to upgrade them when I'm not a high enough trainer level?
