True, and this might honestly bring some new stuff to future seasons (outside of silly avatar etc. cosmetics), even on PC/Console, which would be a refreshing thing. And perhaps finally give that second expansion. Even if when I still think they did scrap it and release it via patches part by part.

But yeah, hopefully Switch owners will enjoy this, even if it's not Diablo 2 quality, but still good fun time to time, even to a jaded season veteran like me. :P
I don't expect anything for those of us who've been playing for years in terms of Season mode. D3 is pretty much dead on PC at this point. I think 1 person on my 198 person friends list still plays D3 with any degree of regularity. They really dropped the ball on making Seasons worthwhile (few balance changes, nothing really fresh), especially when compared to Path of Exile.

All we have is Path of Exile and patience to wait for a Diablo 4 announcement.

All we really need is new legendary affixes each season which enable brand new build types. Have they sorta stopped doing that recently?

I'd have to check to make sure but the last influx of new legendaries was a while go and the last major update was at least two seasons ago just scaled the stats on a few bonuses.

I never played Diablo III before but I was always interested in trying it out. I might take a chance with it this time around.

Yeah I don't see them going that far because of balance issues as they're pretty clearly in maintenance mode only offering small things with each new season as of late.

I thought that was kinda the whole point of seasons though. The set bonuses would change to correspond to a new build.

I haven't played in like a year or so, have the most recent seasons really not had any change in viable builds?

The only thing I can think of was a while back after necro was released, they did a big overhaul to set bonuses to try and bring the other classes up on par with that to make them all viable again. If they did do anything major season after season recently, I don't recall it honestly.

I've sunk waaaaaaaay too much time into the PS4 version at this point to start fresh. Nor do I even want to, really. And I'm sure with Sony's ridiculous cross-play shenanigans I won't be able to use my characters. Still, it's great to see it finally make its way to the Switch. It's a great fit for the system.

The best part of the ARPG genre is how easy it is to restart or regear. Especially D3 like half a day and you can easily get back to high GRS. unless you're in the 120+ territory that should mean little to you.

Get some loot share going.

I bolted after Seasons 12 even with the necro builds I got sick of a locked meta and always needing certain peeps for groups. Don't need that jive in POE I can carry 6 people at times for some good currency and not need a monk, barb or some other support.

Can't thank you enough for the advice or grinds we shared. POE is insane right now especially incursiion flashback with all those map mods for free.

*high 5*

here's hoping Diablo 4 ends up being the D2 sequel we deserved.

Can I play with my barbarian from 6 years ago?
Characters are probably not going to transfer.

But don't worry, if the last time you played was 6 years ago, you'll have a higher geared Barb within 4 hours than you ever had then.

This is kind of off topic, but Reggie was in the reveal video and I looked around his desk and saw a Skull Kid statue...

I'm not sure if it's already been quoted in this thread, but GameSpot got a quote from Blizzard Senior Producer Pete Stilwell about Overwatch, in light of Diablo III coming to Switch:

"Anything is within the realm of possibility," he said. "Our team was given the task to work on this. If [Overwatch developer] Team 4 picks up that endeavour, that's on them. As of right now Diablo is our only focus on Switch." Asked if he thinks Overwatch could run on Switch, Stilwell said, "Yes, it is feasible."

I'm looking forward to trying out Diablo 3 on the Switch even though I've already played the game to death on the PC.

The community manager recently said that new stuff was coming and some of it was a ways off. I imagine like many do that the D4 announcement will be at Blizz Con this year after seeing this.
Are we expecting D4 details so soon? I thought the consensus was a D2 remaster at Blizzcon.

It wasn't just D4, they currently stated they had 3 active diablo projects

This probably being number 1........question is what exactly the other two are. One could be D4

I'm still holding hope for World of Diablo lol

For reference the PS3 and 360 versions of D3 are basically at the High PC preset. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-diablo-3-face-off

Since the Switch has eight times the memory the mob density should be higher and the better GPU should allow quite a few settings to be tweaked accordingly.
That would certainly be cool. We'll see very soon! The trailer didn't look great to me, but in person I'm sure it looks just fine. Especially at the handheld size.

I'm ready to triple dip. Deckard Cain in Smash when?
Does Maghda get to him first?

Picking this up as soon as possible. Love playing Diablo 3 and have yet to buy a console version. I've also yet to buy the Necromaner add on as well so that will be new to me.

I remember someone saying here back at the beginning of 2018 that a Dark Souls-like spinoff set in the Diablo world was rumored. I asked them for a source and tried to google it but came up with nothing.

Won't be getting this because I already own it on PS4, but for those of you who're new to Diablo 3 you should 100% snag this version. Unless they somehow deliver a terrible port, it's 100% worth the money.

Yeah the Switch port, a remaster of D2 and D4 are the 3 that immediately sprung to mind when she said that.
