So I've had enough of this BS shithole of a forum and its muppet moderators.
What's a good way to do an account suicide?

To be fair, their pineapple fritters are pretty damn good.
Don't forget about their chips! We looked at a house one time and the reason Mrs Squirrel rejected it was that it was too close to a Red Rooster. She didn't want to have to buy chips every time she walked past, apparently.

As far as I can tell he posted a comment an 11 year old console warrior would be embarrassed about and somehow only escaped with a warning immediately after coming back from a ban for mocking sexual harassment.

Apparently this was his reaction...

So yeah dunno what the mods did wrong TBH.
I assumed they did something super naively American, like allowing the kind of things that were in that Trevor Noah thread to slide.

They're always soggy when I have them :(

I'll tell you who has the best chips: Schnitz. Not sure if that franchise is Australia wide yet, but goddamn they have their chips down.

Schnitz are amazing. Great chips, really all down to the batter and how they are fried I expect.

Red Rooster have A grade chips. Right up there with KFC. Not really into the rest of their menu but always respected their choice to stock Vanilla Coke.

Gotta say watching Filthy Rich and Homeless is heartbreaking. What's the best way to help solve this problem (besides donations)?

My wife has been playing The Sims 4 and holy shit there are so many expansion and packs.
I've always found it super egregious how much Sims expansions, specifically, cost. We're talking a RRP of $50AUD for one expansion pack. How they aren't crucified for this, beyond the audience probably existing outside the typical gaming sphere, is beyond me.

Looks like Foxtel is finally going 4K, got an e-mail about it this afternoon and have already secured the new iQ4 box. Looks like this summers cricket will be live in full 4k on foxtel. Should be good.

Hello AusEra friends. I didn't realise we had a community here! But I come seeking advice!

I'm looking to bite the bullet on the RE2 Typewriter Special Edition from Japan but I'm looking for a Japanese shopping service as the site it's available from does not ship outside of Japan.

I've heard about places like Celga in the past but also heard some pretty bad things in that they take ages to get to you and the communication is quite poor.

Has anyone used a decent service like this in the past that will ship to Australia?

Asked around at the https://www.retrogameboards.com/ discord and two companies names popped up - Tenso and Buyee. They are reportedly two of the bigger buyer/package forwarders. Haven't used them myself but was told by a repeat customer they've had no issues.

It's been about 4 months since I posted in here since my visit to Australia, but just wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing. It was insane to see some of the areas I visited in NSW during the autumn now look like a desert in a recent news clip I watched on ABC Australia.

Has the heat/drought been any crazier across the country despite it being technically your winter right now?

I was out in the Queensland bush recently, about 4 hours drive inland from Brisbane.

It was pretty dry and not many farmers have been able to plant crops for a while. Most of the smaller creeks and rivers are dry.

Winters tend to be dry here though and then we have hot, wet summers. So hopefully things get a bit better as we move towards the end of the year.

Man, buying stuff with reward points from the qantas store sucks.

Accidentally purchased the wrong colour headphones, apparently no changes or cancellations are possible once the order has been submitted. Tried online and calling them, no bueno. Going to stick to spending my reward points on upgrades/flights from now on.

I should get a FlyBuys card but every time they ask at the Coles or Woolies checkout I just want to pay for my shit and leave as quickly as possible because grocery shopping is the worst.

We had a long summer despite it not really hitting high temps. This winter was super dry and warm for ages, didn't really become a proper winter until about 6 weeks ago but a lot of areas still haven't had much rain. NSW has been hit the hardest, I think they're getting some very soon or right now someone said.

I'm somewhat sceptical of the amount of reviews this game has (for Australian PSN specifically), considering Metacritic hasn't registered a single review by press.

Is there actually a burning passion Australian's have for the newly released 'Hajwala'?

G'day everyone.

I've been remiss in finding this thread since joining Era!

My exciting news? Just discovered MightyApe and the fact they not only have haves for sale at reasonable prices (just picked up Spidey for $75, Spyro for $64 & RDR2 for $69 as pre-orders) AND that they do AfterPay.

That's my spring/summer gaming sorted.

LOL just checked and yeah super rough. I expect people related to the movie production must've bought and rated it.

MightyApe are okay, they sometimes have cheapest prices but $6 postage per item hurts. Almost always cheaper at Amazon since they do free postage over $49, while pricematching whomever is cheapest at that moment (usually OzGameShop).

JB also has a bunch of games for $69 preorder right now.

Otherwise I generally round up the cheapest launch prices here

I live in the Hawkesbury/Blue Mountains and everything is dry. No town water up here so up to a 6 week wait for a delivery truck if you run out, not helped by fires springing up that are also putting stress on peoples water reserves. I've been up here 6 years and this is only the 2nd time I've had to buy water, about 120,000 litres since Christmas and many are worse off than us. The farmers in rural NSW have got it the worst, culling livestock because they can't feed or water them. On a brighter note I haven't had to mow the lawn in months!

Saw DP2 in cinemas twice. Bought the UHD and re-watched yesterday. Still liked it.

Still need to pick up Infinity War and Black Panther but I'm waiting for the next 20% off day at JB. Especially since Disney no longer include digital copies with physical releases in Australia.

Black Panther UHD is on Amazons 2 for $40 UHD sale right now.

IW is a good disc, but like all Disney UHD's a extremely disappointing Atmos track.

Oooh, $20 for BP ain't too shabby. Thanks for the heads-up. Just need to find something else now.

I think I read somewhere that some crazy people were playing their IW UHD discs for the video but piping in the audio via a separate FLAC file or something.
