I think I caught over 400 Eevee this weekend, I ended up with only 11 shinies and all of them terrible. I have two in the mid to low 70s and the rest are all trash tier. Bit of a bummer.
By the way. I'm a new returning player. I think I only played for a week or 2 at launch, but with the announcement of the Let's Go games, as well as two co-workers who are still heavily playing I decided to jump back in to see what has changed. I've managed to jump from level 8 to 26 over the course of 3 weeks. I expect the addiction levels to die down fairly soon, but I definitely will keep playing for a while. I've added my account to the spreadsheet and will send everyone a friend invite later today/this week.

There is not a daily XP cap but there are a number of different caps in the game - if you can explain what your looking for here then it might be easier to answer

A lot of the caps they have are around how many stops you an spin in a 24 hour period / how many Pokemon you can catch / etc etc but I've never seen anything about an actual XP cap
Saturday I missed out on the even entirely when my phone died and I had no charger while i was out.
Sunday I managed to get 3 shiny eevee so that was awesome. One evolved into a Vaporeon, one into Jolteon and the last one I'll probably bring right over to LGPE to make sure i get Flareon. Shiny Eevee trio forever baby

Now that I hit 40, and with Eevee CD done and likely no events between now and Yokosuka, this seems like the perfect time to take a break from the game. I'll get my daily raid in and my first catch/spin bonuses, but taking a step back from the grind to recharge sounds like a good idea.
Evolved 3 shiny Eevee, got one of each Vaporeon/Flareon/Jolteon, nice. Eventually I'll start walking for the other 2.
I had the exact same
My 6th was an Espeon (walked for so so i knew i would not get another Vapereon) - the next two gave me Jolteon / Flareon and I evolved my Umbreon about 40 minutes ago so it still had the special move
lol next week? I could see them dropping it as soon as tomorrow without any forewarning.
For some reason I thought that was ending today.
Regirock should be appearing on the 16th as something new...
There was a push notification late last week that different pokemon would show up at parks and my lake park became a quil nest. Easily 15 of them per lap. Used to be a mix of water pokemon and I'd get 5 magikarp per lap among others. Now I get 1 or 2.
That's a normal nest rotation that happens every two weeks. Biome spawns should be unaffected by nesting.
It's also possible Magikarp was nesting there and isn't now. Magikarp in particular has been an exceedingly uncommon spawn (outside of events that boosted it) for over a year. I would be very surprised to learn a biome existed where they still spawned with anywhere near that frequency.

I live in San Francisco so all I ever need to do for Community Day is go to the Embarcadero. I checked like 700+ Eevees total over the course of the 6 hours.
I only got 5 and the person I was with only got 1. (In 3 hours)
Eevee event was great. Ended up with 22 shiny Eevee, which has become:
5 Vaporeon
5 Flareon
2 Jolteon
1 Umbreon
1 Soon-to-be Espeon
3 Spares for Glaceon, Leafeon and Sylveon
5 I have yet to decide what to do with
Not exceptional stats amongst them, most in seventies and eighties. One Flareon is 90 and the one I've saved for Sylveon is ~96.

So i somehow am still playing the game for the daily quest and bonus. Guess i will continue to do so until lets go is release or i got bored haha. Game is still small and mindless enough for the daily grind on the bus.
I realized that the community day don't really entices me to play the game more, i opened up the app for only a while longer during the weekend.Happy that i got a shiny since i didn't leave my house at all. Fought a few raids since i returned to the game but won't go out of my way to get any rarer raids or Pokemon. Super casual player now but i must admit the game improved a lot and managed to kept me playing for longer than i expected .

Got a lucky Metangross lvl 31 91% from a co-worker today.
And a lucky Blissey lvl 27 80%.

fuuuck, leaving on a ship that day so will be tricky to play in any sort of effective way. hope I can nab 3 shinies.
yeah community day is more fun when you can dip in for 60-90 minutes, get shiny versions of all the evolutions, and then dip out.
Was hoping it'd be Totodile, if they follow the previous pattern he'll be the last one. Sucks, Totodile is my fav of the Johto starters by far.
The events calendar already lists dates of October 21 and November 10 for future community days, by the way.
Agreed. Unless it's a personal favorite shiny variant that I want to stockpile I'll usually just go really hard during the first hour and then just chill at home with an incense activated.
I really hope that one of the next couple of Community Day's is something unusual or super rare. My pick would be Porygon. I love the shiny versions of that evolution line.
Pretty rare, I've caught two bayleef in the last week.
Nice now I can plan to do the October one

I love my new job. The GPS drift at my desk is nuts. I hatched 2x2km and 2x5km eggs in a day without moving from desk. :D

I'm cool with both the XP bonus and Chikorita, especially the XP bonus. Looking forward to it.
