GOT DAMN this game still looks dope!! you beat me to it with this pirate cove!! As long as they're influenced by the superior N64 game and not the Gamecube, I'm ready to GO!

People would buy Wave Race Switch for graphics alone.
Does he even hold that kind of power anymore?
Donkey kong wave race?Looks like Retro's game ain't that much of a secret already :^)
Yup.People saying that cross-overs would help wave race sell, do realise that the original sold very well yes? More then 1,5 million copies on the N64.
Blue Storm flopping probably had more to do with the game itself rather then WR becoming unpopular.

But I bet Nintendo will give it a super low budget lol.
MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ROUND!
I hate to admit saying I was let down by Blue Storm. I couldn't point ourt exactly what was it about the sequel that felt dissapointing. What it its use of water physics (or lack thereof of its creative use)? Was it because the shortcuts weren't that interesting? The track design? Perhaps it was because of NST management? Many things in me pointed to a shallow sequel, and felt it really needed a big(ger) gimmick to pull its weight (the equivalent to 1080 Avalanche's...well, avalanche scenarios).
No prob! Glad it did its job!
i think it's a random mini game from a kinect game on xbox one
LOL this reaction made me laugh.
It's from King of Kong. This guy went around the arcade Steve Weibe was trying to set a record at telling random people "there's a potential Donkey Kong kill screen coming up if anybody's interested".

Miyamoto doesn't have that kind of power anymore. Takahashi is head of EPD, meaning, he calls the shots on what projects get green-lit at Nintendo, so if Takahashi wants a new Wave Race, then there's little Miyamoto can do about it.
Um no. Takeshi is the General Manager. He makes the big decisions.
It's gonna be like a mini game from Wii Sports Resort isn't it?
Yeah...Um no. Takeshi is the General Manager. He makes the big decisions.
I always though the reason we don't get a new Wave Race is because they don't think it's worth it / won't sell that much.Yeah...
Now one could argue that Takahashi would comply out of sheer respect for Miyamoto if he really asked him to, but people really villify Miyamoto if they think he cares that much to take their racing games away lol.
Yeah...

Kinect Sports Rivals on Xbox One. The racing game left a really good impression on me at Gamescom.
Yeah someone already replied yesterday, too bad it's only playable with Kinect.Kinect Sports Rivals on Xbox One. The racing game left a really good impression on me at Gamescom.
Nintendo is happy to hear that and will repackage it for $40.That Wii Sports Resort event was amazing. Probably one of my most played.
