Is this game considered difficult? Got it for my son this morning and by dinner time he's got all 4 runes and made it to what I think is the final boss fight.
You need to buy them in the cell shop after getting the blueprint. So how do I unlock more items to potentially spawn at the beginning of runs? Is it just a matter of finding blueprints? I unlocked the "random starter bow" thing but I've gotten the same bow in all 3 runs since then.
I would say getting to the final boss without any Stem Cells activated (difficulty modifiers) isn't TOO hard. Once you start activating more cells, think of it as NG+, is when it starts to get pretty hard. Besides having enemies hit harder/more elites, it limits your uses of health potion. Is this game considered difficult? Ohh, I have to buy them? Just once I assume?Blueprints.
Random Starter only takes from the pool that you have unlocked, as you probably know. And if you only have one non-starter bow unlocked, that's probably why you kept pulling it.
Since I started over from scratch (my previous save was when I played this game last nearly a year ago in Early Access so I wanted a fresh save file to see the changes) I've been keeping my pool of unlocked stuff pretty low. For now, at least. Which basically means rocking an Infantry Bow until I get the blueprint for something good.
That is the other answer, your son could be a prodigy. The modifiers kick up the difficulty, for sure. But don't get it twisted: your son is a badass.
It should be every other level but not before a boss if I remember correctly. 3 and especially 4 are where they are gone. Healing is done through the cursed chests. I was never good enough for that and gave up at 2 BS.so, on very hard (2 cell mode) you can´t refill your health at all?
They are worth it. But the first one if you aren't going to make it in 2 minutes you are better off exploring a little. You will get around the same amount of cells from rushing as opposed to killing everything. The others you should make it a point to do and aren't that hard. Are the timed doors really worth rushing past all the potential cells/chests/gold/etc. you'll be missing out on? I did the first one and was pretty unimpressed with the haul so I haven't done any since.
Once I got that I never went back. The higher difficulty wasn't worth it when I could make it to the final boss every run going a different path.Fuck everything about the sewer route. I think you need to complete it to get the spider rune? Otherwise I might never go there again.
Has he been sitting there all day? Most people beat it in 10-15 hours. It is hard but everything is your fault. YMMV on how hard it really is.Is this game considered difficult? One tip for dealing with all that long-range stuff is that you can duck under the Roadhog wannabes' grappling hooks. So if you have a bow, you can just crouch and shoot them without fear as long as you're a little distance away.
Be careful about rolling toward them through their grapple though. If your roll puts you in melee range, they will immediately kick you. They don't really have any cooldown when their grapple misses.
Yeah, when you buy an item with cells, you get that item immediately for your next run, but it also unlocks that item as a potential random drop for subsequent runs too.Ohh, I have to buy them? Just once I assume?
That's interesting. Usually I never spend cells on weapons since I get good stuff from chests or the gold shop and would rather do the permanent unlocks.
Doesn't it also make it available as a potential starter weapon too?Yeah, when you buy an item with cells, you get that item immediately for your next run, but it also unlocks that item as a potential random drop for subsequent runs too.
Somehow I have the nutcracker as a starter weapon and I never unlocked it. And I fucking hate it.Doesn't it also make it available as a potential starter weapon too?
As long as you've spent cells on getting a randomized starter weapon, yeah.Doesn't it also make it available as a potential starter weapon too?
That's what I thought but I wasn't exactly sure.As long as you've spent cells on getting a randomized starter weapon, yeah.
Any general tips for Conjuctivius? Trying to get the spider rune but this dude is generally handing me my ass. I don't have problems with the tentacles so much, they seem easy enough to dodge with patience, but I can't get much DPS on the guy with him warping around the level so much. Traps and what-not seem useless because of that. Also, the light bullet-hell sections usually chunk quite a bit of my HP, without a shield I'm terrible at avoiding them.
shield, parry when he comes with the dash to you, leaves enough time to give him a few hits. a shield is also good for the bullet rain. this boss is tremendously easier with a shield, makes the fight shorter
Just completed my Brutality run using fire grenade+ice grenade and I literally melted everything, not even the enemies at High Peak Castle had a chance to attack lol
Final boss fight:
I usually have enough damage to tear through them before they can do much, and if I don't then I just run away. The totems have really low health, I just rush them and take them out straight away. That said, you can probably have a freezing ability 90% of the time by the time you reach that zone and I agree it makes it a lot easier.I swear the Ossuary is harder than like every other area in this game. Fucking Slashers are straight up impossible if you don't have solid ranged options or a freeze, and those proximity damage totem things are often placed in horrendously obnoxious locations.
I took the Hunter's Grenade with me all the way to the Clock Tower. I extract a blueprint (Wave of Denial) and I'm nearing the escape. I use one of those teleporter stones and it teleports me right into a cluster of bombs from those mortar enemies and I die with my blueprint. Awesome D:
There's a boss rush mod. Haven't tried it myself but it looks helpfulAnyway way to quickly retry bosses? Got to the clocktower boss for the first time, I have a 100% chance of dying, and would like to be able to retry if possible. Someone mentioned quitting at the right time does the trick? Does this also work in regular levels? Any help would be appreciated.
