Man, this game looks so great. The visuals are perfect, the game nails the classic arcade look but in high res. Fantastic. The gameplay also looks spot on. Can't wait... a shame there will not be a physical release in Europe :(
Am I reading this right? It will come with a manual? An actual full colour one not just a leaflet?
Thomas Kern any hints at when we'll get release date news? Summer is starting soon and we're all excited about it here. :)

Game looks truly stunning. And it definitely deserves to be played 1080p on the big screen.
Still a lot of work to do: Finishing the game is just one part, now we're working on the different SKU's + Lot check for all consoles + physical goods production and approvals. We'll be able to announce an exact release date when the game is gold (all approved). Please stay tuned!

So I can finally say I will be playing this game in the next couple months or so :)
I have followed this game development on and off since it was Flying Hamster.
I stopped checking any updates when I saw it would take a lot of time before coming out, man the game changed so much and look even better now, that's crazy.
The fact that the game comes with a manual is awesome it will be like getting a new game back in the day.

Dec 4th now. I was really looking forward to giving it a good run before Smash too, Nov was great! My Amazon order probably wont even reach me to New Zealand in 2018 now lol. :(

And specifically asked about the Steam release. It's listed on Steam as Q1 2019 at the moment, so early 2019 I would have thought.

Anyone else find it funny that there is a Monica and Friends game coming out on Switch the exact same day as Monster Boy? Considering the 'connection' to Wonder Boy.

Nice to hear! I have 0 interest in Smash, so this is my December game.
Are you playing on switch or ps4? I have Switch pre ordered right now, but I also want trophies. Such a tough decision.
Now this has me hyped! So want this game to review well and succeed, and this is a positive indication that it will.

Guessing early next year. They're probably busy as hell trying to finalise the console release, all things considered.
My most wanted game this year, for sure. I'm following since the cancelled Flying Hamster 2 kickstarter (was a backer before they cancelled). Have it preloaded for Switch, can't wait!

New game. You might be thinking in Wonder Boy, from another developer and different publisher. That one was indeed a (wonderful) remake.
