Dear Resetera'ers,
We (me and three other forum members) are embarking on a road trip next weekend with the ultimate destination being Washington, D.C.
We are there for two days, and aside from the Smithsonian museums around the Washington Mall, we're looking for unique and awesome places to eat at, and things to see.
We do have access to a car, so we can definitely get around the city with relative ease.
So, give us your best kept secrets for DC.
I'm talking unique as hell restaurants, places with great food, destinations / landmarks that aren't touristy but still something you'd suggest seeing...
Some examples of unique restaurants in other cities I've been:
The Shameful Tiki Room in Vancouver & Toronto
Tonga Room in San Francisco.
Any help would be appreciated! We're definitely going to the various museums for sure, but evenings are wide open - give us your suggestions!
