I saw it in the Cinerama a few years ago and it was maybe the best film going experience in my life.70MM FILM FESTIVAL
What an opportunity. Is it time to finally experience this movie?

Man, the Cinerama has a KILLER lineup of movies in the next couple months.
SOUND & VISION FILM FESTIVAL
It seems to increasingly be a summer feature of living in the area. I just ran out to the store and could see billowing smoke everywhere on the drive.
Any recommendations on retro gaming stores? Are Pink Gorilla and Game Gurus any good?
EDIT: I'm looking for any old or obscure systems, rather than just games.
Nice. I am texting with an ex. You win. ;)
Nah, just hit up folks you think might already have em. 50% of the time it works all the time.Reading the latest rumors about the 2080 Ti.
So is it way, way too late to even think about getting a ticket to PAX West at this point?

I feel hungover though after whatever you'd call a 6am flight. Black eye?
I ended up going to Pink Gorilla in the University district.Another Castle Video Games is a good one but it's a treck to get out there. I think there's multiple locations but I went to the one in Edmonds and it was great.
Has a decent collection of retro games and systems and also a good collection of arcade games and pin ball machines to play as well.
If there's something particular you'd want it's best to call as it's a long drive and while I think the collection is decent it's not amazing. Might be worth looking into though.
Haven't been to either of the stores you mentioned so I can't speak to those though. However if you do check them out please let me know if they're any good.

They had a well organized collection of games for several systems, including Atari 8-bit computers and the 2600. They also carry Famicom, SFC, PC Engine games and other imports.
On the system side, besides the usual systems they had a Famicom, an expensive PC Engine DUO R, several (cheap) b&w WonderSwans... and Nintendo TV Color Game 6!
I was looking for a Sega Saturn, but unfortunately they were out of them at the moment. :(
In the end, for $60 I picked up a DC controller, a rumble, a controller extension cord, Samba de Amigo Ver.2000 (import) and Capcom vs SNK. Neither came with a case.
The last couple years, PAX has been incredibly easy to get into if you live in or around the Seattle area. The days of people hoarding tickets and selling them way above face value seem to be over. Just check Facebook Marketplace or Craiglist on the day before or day of the show and you'll inevitably find some tickets selling at or just slightly above face value.Reading the latest rumors about the 2080 Ti.

I've been out on the court near me alone working on getting my serve back, which I assume is a very sad sight for anyone walking by. "Oh, look. The sad man is playing his invisible friend again. I wonder if he is winning?"
Is that home court the park in Ballard just off Market and like, maybe 10th or so? Were you playing by yourself Friday evening around 8ish? Because if so, I thought something just like that while walking by.
I suck real bad at tennis and have nothing helpful to add, but it'd be pretty funny if that really was you.
Hey SeattleEra, I am seeking your advice. I am looking to get back into playing tennis, but finding people I know who want to play (esp during Summer/toxic Armageddon) is tough/impossible.
I have internetted some "partner program" type stuff and that's fine, but I figured I would ask here in case any of y'all had any first-hand advice/hot tips. I realize I'll probably have to wait till the temperature and air quality are better to do anything tennis-related but I figured I'd ask now to hopefully prepare.

I know tennis is kind of a rich person sport, but I am pretty poor and would rather avoid any programs that cost a lot, though I am willing to budget in a reasonable fashion for this (like $50 or under a month) if you have program suggestions via first or trusted second-hand knowledge about. I want to get active again, and I absolutely love the game, so it's a no-brainer for me. I lack the discipline to stay active when I am not having fun, else I'd just run or something.
Sorry for the kinda left-field (court) post, but I felt like this was the most appropriate thread in which to inquire about this. Thanks :)
Damn, I was just running by the tennis court on my running path two days ago and thinking how I'd love to play tennis again. I'm not going to join a league or anything but would've loved to play.
I say would've bc on that same jog I looked backwards when running and slipped off the path. Broke my ankle in two places. Out of commission for about a month and a half.
I play tennis. decent at it. I could meet up if I ever took the e line bus and walk to the court I could play. otherwise I'm looking after doggo most of the time.
My kids are (unsurprisingly) losing their shit having to stay inside all day.The smoke is miserable with a sick baby. Thankfully sick from teething and not the abysmal air quality but still keeping her in till this passes.
