A lawsuit could not be easily filed against someone for choosing not to stream with women. Ninja isn't Twitch. Your heart is mostly in the right place but this is way off the rails. It's his job. A lawsuit could easily be filed.
You're just spitballing now. In the US we.do have laws.
Keep denying it's his workplace. It's hilarious comedy.I wait with anticipation for this individual's legal follow up.
Actually bear force one DID claim that it was against the law. That's the reason I replied, because I'm questioning his knowledge of the lawsYou see, this is such a garbage counterargument. We are saying "The reason why he is refusing to stream with women is horribly misogynistic and an example of sexism in gaming culture" and you are responding with "Do you want a law to force him to stream with women?" as if that was even the question to begin with!
well the gaming industry is full of sexist people so yes?
For the size of his channel his chat is the least toxic i've seen. His mods moderate the channel agressive and his subs tend to be younger and more positive than someone like Docs chat. Yesterday i watched doc get partnered with a random in CoD and the guy freaks out about how much he loves Doc, etc. In his excitement he yells out his own channel name..within a minute there were 1,000 people in the guys channel saying everything nasty and racist I've ever seen or heard..literally some form of the N word was spammed 10 times a second.
Once you start discriminating against a Protected Class you've crossed over preference.C'mon man, I get why you're upset but you can't seriously think you can legally do something about a streamer playing with who he wants. It's literally a guy broadcasting his gameplay playing with friends, he has made his name his own company and can do what he chooses with that freedom. Don't dilute your points going down this weird rabbit hole, anyone can stream solo and nothing can stop that.
What did I just say? Streamers aren't employees of Twitch, what an absurd idea. You're right. twitch will be at fault here for allowing it under their purvoy.
So you admit it's his workplace. Good start.Your erratic posting style is what's hilarious.
When do you plan to file a legal grievance against Ninja?
Eh I think streamers are private contractors, not actual employees of Twitch. Streamers are not offered health insurance, 401Ks, PTO, or any other benefits that come with a normal job. I'm pretty sure Twitch treats each streamer as a separate business partner with the workplace being the streamers stream. They only have to follow the TOS.
Streamers are considered self employed.
Sure thing. Streamer culture. LOLLol at people saying streamers have to be forced to stream with others as it's a "workplace", like how men have to work with women at "real jobs".
Get off your high horse, stop yelling at clouds. You know nothing about streaming culture and it's cringy reading some of these responses.
It's a dumb question to ask to begin with, but Ninjas dumbass gave a really bad response, why not just "Its not intentional, I just play with whoever else is big in the fortnite game and people who I can click well with"? Dude needs better PR ASAP.
Dude are you feeling alright?
Just fine.
This is the Henry Cavill situation all over again. Ninja is well within his right to decide who he does and doesnt stream and Cavill is allowed to not date because of fear of allegations.
Some are. Some are doing something else entirely. No one is debating their rights, we're discussing how dumb these people are being
Someone hired a PI to find evidence he was cheating, someone else found porn star lookalikes and sent me videos of them. He received countless emails about what a scumbag he was and how he shouldn't be with me. This continued for the first two years we were together.
To be fair, discussing their rights is exactly what's happening. Hopefully whether what he's doing is dumb is pretty obvious! No one is debating their rights, we're discussing how dumb these people are being

I understand being frustrated with bullheadedness in the thread, but this is the most nonsensical shit, dude. There is apparent evidence that the rumor-mongering, gossip, and harassment, is real for streamers and internet personalities in these situations. Whether or not you think Ninja's approach to that issue is appropriate is one thing, but your Mom example is beyond irrelevant.

With some of the responses here I think he made the right call. Him commenting on it ironically get him in the spotlight too.
So what, he is a sexist cause he doesn't like rumours and tabloid-like news about him?
Okay.
Dumb to make a statement like this when there was no need for any in the first place. Although could just be a tactic to get more views.
This thread once again proves how out of touch Era is with every other community on the internet and the world though. Legal action, lmao. Someone needs to update the "old man yells at clouds" with "Era yells at ___"
And people are within their rights to call them out on it what is the problem here? This is the Henry Cavill situation all over again. Ninja is well within his right to decide who he does and doesnt stream with and Cavill is allowed to not date because of fear of allegations.

Nice response, proves my point you know nothing about Twitch. "Lawsuit" lmao. Keep getting upset over things you're completely ignorant over and refuse to learn more about.
And people are within their rights to call them out on it what is the problem here?
That doesn't change anything though. Just because it's his channel doesn't suddenly exclude it from being a sexist decision, and thus doesn't exclude it from criticism. He can do what ever he wants, but that doesn't mean every single one of his decisions is just dandy. If this is about him spreading rumours about other streamers then I won't defend his actions on that. Yes, it was idiotic and hypocritical, and he deserves to be called out, but his decision to leave his wife out of the same drama he perpetuates is still understandable.
I disagree. It's his personal channel in the end and he explains that excluding women from it is to protect his marriage.
It's time for Story Time from other streamers!
This part of the chain is just weird:
And Dodger's good friend, Jesse:
Proving that people just don't know how to stay out of other people's lives.
EDIT: May got there before me...but I got another piece of info also relevant.
Why call them out tho? Theres no reason. its their life their choice.
Maybe if you ignore the lawsuit argument being pushed. No one is debating their rights, we're discussing how dumb these people are being
You forgot you add brah. Streamer culture is shit.Nice response, proves my point you know nothing about Twitch. "Lawsuit" lmao. Keep getting upset over things you're completely ignorant over and refuse to learn more about.
Next.

Because fighting real fights is much harder than complaining about shit like this. True fact. Why call them out tho? Theres no reason. its their life their choice.
